Forests are very important functions as water catchment areas, storing rain water and then flowing to

humans through the form of ground water. When forests are continuously cut down illegally it will cause
flooding for the area, with floods that continue to occur on a large scale then there is a possibility of
causing landslides.

Indiscriminate settlement

As in Jakarta, where floods often occur, random settlement becomes the main cause of flooding due to
the overflow of the obstructed river flow. Like the houses on the banks that are sure to be the biggest
contributors to the trash that become obstacles and siltation.
