Three years ago, a group of friends of the university and I decided to go for a new

experience and adventure in the Peruvian Jungle. Choosing the place of the trip
took some time. After a few weeks we made a choice to go to Chachapoyas,
especially the Yumbilla Waterfalls, considered the fifth highest waterfall in the
world. To go there we fundraise to buy the bus fare and supplies to stay.
We arrived in Chachapoyas city, bought medicines, a lot of rope, fruit and a map
because we decided to walk over the waterfalls from the city. At the beginning of
the journey everything was going well, we could see blooming landscapes. After
hours walking, we were deep into the jungle and saw Rupícola peruviana,
orchids, bromeliads. We arrived at night, we were exhausted for the long trek so
we decided to set up tent and enjoy a delicious dinner. From midnight we heard
sounds of the jungle, monkeys, crickets, parrots and the sound of a rattlesnake
near us, immediately, all of us woke up and felt scared stiff then we left the tent,
I had read what to do in this case, we will have to restrict the movement of the
snake by covering it with a heavy blanket, so I took my jacket and covered the
snake, after minutes we put the snake in a bag and throw it away from us. That
night we could not sleep because we were still scared and any sound alarmed
us.
They were endless hours, but the sun came, we forgot what happened and we
enjoyed the waterfall, saw animals and spent the day with friends.
