Through this work, we realize the places that our beloved Colombia has, unique places that
we can visit and spend with the family, enjoy its rich gastronomy and its great landscapes

Medellín is a very beautiful city, capital of


the Colombian department of Antioquia, it
has a pleasant climate. One of the places
you visit was the small village of Paisa, it
is located on Cerro Nutibara and serves as
a traditional viewpoint of Medellín.
The small town paisa has balconies that
give a wonderful view to the city of
Medellín day and night.
Paisas traditional handicraft shops can be
found there, as well as typical food
restaurants where visitors can get directly
involved with the paisa culture that commemorates this place.
You can access this place by car or by a suitable way for athletes and walkers where you
can enjoy a space rich in nature.

Medellín is a Colombian municipality, capital of the department of Antioquia. It is
located in the center of the Aburrá Valley, in the Cordillera Central, and is crossed
by the Medellín River.

b. What is the city like?


The city of Medellín is the second in size and attractive not only for its commercial
and industrial activity, but also for its hectic cultural and nightlife.

Medellín a city with open doors for everyone, with spectacular people and know
countless places where they tell a story and traditions that identify us in this
beautiful city of eternal spring.

The spring weather of Medellín, its landscape of mountains, its spectacular


paronamic visits to Medellín will always be a seducing experience, visit the
botanical garden of Medellin, the Barefoot Park and the library parks, which
account for the development in education and infrastructure of Medellín.

c. What is the weather like?


Medellin is known as the city of eternal spring. Yes, totally sunny days are rare, the
most usual is that the clouds and the sun are alternating.

Annual rainfall is abundant and is concentrated from May to June and from August
to November. Humidity is high in the environment throughout the year, even in the
less rainy months such as January and February.

d. How big is the city?


The city of Medellin is the most populated in the department of Antioquia, and the
second in the country.

e. What is the best thing about it?


Medellin is a very beautiful place to visit as a family, where you can find
mechanical attractions linked to culture and civic coexistence, a place to enjoy
extreme experiences.

f. How is the traffic in the city?


It has modern transport systems such as the Metro and the Metrocable.
In Medellin each road of a city has its own average speed, according to its
infrastructure characteristics or whether it is an artery or not.

SANTA MARTA

 1: Location and weather of the


city:
The Caribbean Sea and snow meet to make
Santa Marta, Colombia a destination hard to
forget. The city is located on the shores of Santa Marta Bay on the Caribbean Sea, in
the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, whose peaks one can look on clear days from the
beach. Capital of the Colombian department of Magdalena. Santa Marta has an average
temperature of 28º, and its lowest temperature is 23ºC. Where a semi-arid climate
predominates in its urban part, and due to the difference in the topography of the city,
there are all the thermal floors, and several types of vegetation, such as tropical and dry
humid. It is necessary to bring costumes to protect yourself
from the sun. It is important to wear a hat. It is
recommended to bring light and cotton clothes: the
weather is hot and humid, travel with comfortable shoes
such as tennis or sandals.

 2: Description of the city:


Santa Marta, Colombia is the oldest city in South America
is full of a magic hard to describe, its unique architectural
heritage, beautiful landscapes and a great cultural legacy
with its colonial treasures, make this natural paradise an ideal destination to enjoy,
know and remember.
The city of Santa Marta uses as a tourist slogan; the magic of having everything; since
it has more than one hundred beaches and a snowy mountain range.
 3: Activities to do in the city:
You can get in touch with a tour guide, to explore the city of Santa Marta without any
problem, you can find fun activities, among other options. Here visitors always find what to
do, such as visiting beaches where the jungle meets the sea; you can also observe birds,
take a historical tour of the city and visit the heart of the Tayrona culture and its colonial
treasures. Santa Marta has a historical legacy, represented in the architecture and streets of
the historic center, an ideal route to visit the Cathedral, the museums and the Malecón de
Bastidas, where besides knowing you can enjoy a romantic sunset. Beaches, mangroves,
coral reefs and reefs are part of the jungle landscape that adorns the Tayrona National Park,
one of the biggest attractions of Santa Marta. This natural reserve of crystal clear waters,
white sand and surreal sunrises is considered one of the most beautiful bays in America.
Tourists could also visit the Aquarium and Museum of the sea appreciates the marine world
and the richness of Colombian biodiversity 10 minutes from the road by water in Santa
Marta. You have to come to enjoy the typical foods of Santa Marta
 4: Positive and negative aspects of the city:
The positive aspect of the city of Santa Marta is the richness of nature that tourists will
enjoy as the diversity of its ecosystems, mountains that integrate extreme thermal and
climatology, humid forests, beaches, cliffs, suitable for hiking, and abundant wildlife and
wild flora for observation and research.

GARZÓN HUILA

That was an amazing experience; it was the last year, I went to ´´Manila´´ it´s like a resort
and it has pools where I swam all the time with my family, a big restaurant with my
favorite food and the Colombian typical food. We played basketball and we took a ride in a
boat through a huge lake. There were some ducks there, there were fishes, too.
When we go out of the resort, we took a walk around the town, Garzón is a small city (it´s
more like a town), located at the Huila´s southeast, it´s a well-known town because people
cultivate an excellent coffee there.
There are many architectural works to see there (most of them about religion), people in
Garzón is very kind, the always regards you with a smile.

a. Where is the city?
Garzón is a municipality located at the Huila´s southeast.
b. What is the city like?
It´s a quiet place, there are some mountains around the city, a beautiful church located just
in the central park, the park has some tall trees and the buildings are very old but you feel
something special when you´re there… The feeling is similar when you go to visit your
grandmother.

c. What is the weather like?


I think that the temperature there is great, I do not know exactly, but I think we were about
27°C, all the time was very sunny.

d. How big is the city?


I didn´t see the entire town, I just was in the resort and a few hours in the park… But, when
I see around I can notice that it´s a little municipality.

e. What is the best thing about it?


I think that the architecture was awesome, there were old pieces but at the same time they
were beautiful.

f. How is the traffic in the city?


The traffic there was very calm, there aren´t a lot of expensive or huge cars, you can see the
people walking, or biking very peaceful in everywhere.

SAN ANDRÉS ISLAND

Well, I know that San Andrés isn´t a city,


instead of, it´s an island, but it´s my
dreamt place to go since I have
memory…
The weather in San Andrés can be
between 26 and 30°C degrees, I think that
it´s just like a paradise, my aunt was there
2 months ago, and I was waiting that she
asked for I go with her, but I think maybe
she forgot it. I dream with blow
down with the wind there and I know that I will do it someday, San Andrés is located near
to Nicaragua, but is known as a Colombian Island.
If you want to take in traveling, I recommend you San Andrés, you will love that place, the
total island extension it´s about 26 Km, where ever you see you will see a blue sea covering
all the horizon, there are some bays like Sprat and Southwest Cove and some beautiful
places like Johny Cay… If you´re in San Andrés you should pass there.
There are some activities to do there, first of all you can visit an amazing aquarium, and
you can look for some funny there with the lovely animals you will find. There is a place
called Johny Cay. You are able to be in the beach all the day and think ahead problems of
you´re life or to forget it, too… However if you want to travel to San Andrés you have
to hold on for your turn because a lot of people travels there.
I couldn’t think about any negative aspect in San Andrés, I think that everything there it´s
positive, for example the weather it´s great, because it´s sunny all the time, people there it´s
friendly and the food it´s delicious! You can´t stop eat there.

MEDELLIN COLOMBIA

The experience I had of traveling to the city of Medellin, was an experience more for my
life, during the trip I could enjoy the landscapes offered by our beautiful country Colombia,
where I could stop at the napoles hacienda, famous in the past for The life of Pablo
Escobar, being already in the city of Medellin I was able to enjoy the city and share with
my family a good barbecue at night.
The city of medellin is a unique city, recognized for the kindness of people and their
contagious laughter, also in addition to the advances in architecture that the city makes to
advance more in productivity, where it offers many tourist attractions to visit also of its
gastronomy and its typical meals among them the paisa tray.

Medellín is a city and Colombian municipality, capital of the department of Antioquia. It is
located in the northwest of the country in the center of the Aburrá Valley, which is located
in the Cordillera Central, its climate usually varies, sometimes sunny or rainy

Medellin has a population of 2 508 452 inhabitants, which makes it the second largest
and most populated city in the country, Medellin hosts the headquarters of the Government
of Antioquia, the Departmental Assembly, the Departmental Court, the Metropolitan Area
and the Prosecutor's Office General. where it is also a very traded city of large national and
international companies

Medellin has many tourist attractions to visit, including the little village Paisa, Santa Fe
Zoo, the botanical garden and many more, these citios that the city has are visited for
their stories and gastronomy, but what makes it more enjoyable in visiting are the people
for their kindness and coordiality

Within the positive aspects that the city has are:

 The city has a lot of traffic flow which makes it a chaotic place to travel
 within the city has some roads with holes which generates a lot of traffic.

One of the trips that I liked the most was Playa Blanca on Lake Tota, which is in Tunja -
Boyaca. It is a wonderful place since from a peñol located on the top of Mars you can see
the whole beach by the sea and the sand of this is white and shines with the reflection of the
sun and the sea delights of wonderful blue sky, in the place they sell typical food of boyaca
and sea food and the water is freezing, I was accompanied by my parents and some other
guy and with them we ride on jet skis in the icy sea and play in the sand.

The city is too beautiful, its paisas are mountainous and floral, it is too cold and there are
too many farms and animals in the area. It is also the highest capital city in the country.

It has a territorial extension of 121.4 square kilometers of which 87% belongs to the rural
area and 13% to the urban area
e. What is the best thing about it?
That I knew a new city and learned a new culture that I did not know anything about

We did not have much traffic in the season that we went everything was very clear

Location and climate of the place


It is located in the south of Colombia Department Amazonas being one of the richest cities
in its fauna and flora since its entire area is mountainous and despite being far away it
communicates by road constituting an important commercial link with Brazil, due to its
situation of bordering city on the Amazon River and nearby Peru and Brazil, its climate
varies according to rain, fog or sun, but it is normally hot and can reach more than 30
degrees and at night it is always cool.
Description of the city
Leticia is a Port, named for the Transportation that is done through Rivers. Currently
it brings together almost 60% of the population of the department and most indigenous
communities, the city has a large population growth and its main avenues are the
International Avenue that goes from the border with Tabatinga to 12th Street and Alfredo
Vázquez Avenue Cobo that goes from Francisco de Paula Santander park to the airport.
Its communication routes are Air, fluvial and terrestrial.

Positive and negative aspects of the city


It is very far from the main tourist cities and its most positive aspects is that it has the most
privileged region with fauna and flora and its hydrography is one of the largest in the
country.

Where is the city?
Espinal Tolima, located in the department of Tolima, is the second most populated
municipality in the department of Tolima and is known as the rice capital of the center of
the country.
How is the city?
It is a fairly warm city, its name is kind, it has parks for family recreation, there is a large
number of colonial houses, even in clay and bareque material, it is a city that lives in
constant growth.
What is the weather like?
The visit was made two years ago for holidays at the end of the year in family outings.
How big is the city?
It is a fairly large city since it is the second city with more inhabitants in the department of
Tolima. With a total of 76,056 inhabitants.
What is the best of this?
The best thing that the city has is its park called mythological, here we find sculptures
alluding to typical myths of this region, among them we have monuments to: the
washerwoman, the single leg, the Devil's mule, the mother mountain, among others, also
counting with a central park where citizens go to recreate and enjoy the water fountain that
they put for the children's amusement.
How is the traffic in the city?
The traffic in this city is calm, there are some traffic lights in the main avenues to control
this traffic, it is an ordered city, it has routes of ascent and descent.

very progressive city with people very far ahead and that is good for the country, I would

It is the most populated city in the department and the second in the country. It sits in the

of the Andes, I really look up to her beauty.

Medellín is the second city in importance in Colombia, and capital of the Department of
Antioquia; its average temperature is 24º and it is located at 1,475 meters above sea level; It
has an extension of 105 square kilometers of urban land, 270 of rural land and 5.2 of land
for expansion.
The activities to be carried out would be visits to historic centers, places of tourist
attraction, such as the metro, the metro cable, in December the Christmas lighting,

Positive aspects

As a conclusion we can show, the different places that our country has- Colombia to visit as
a family, types of places it offers and also its gastronomy. Where you can also do any kind
of activities, depending on the place you are going to visit.
