A TJS Elite Getting Started Guide Let's get acquainted. Excel 2010 / 2013, Let's make a duplicate file! Before recording any trades, it's re- commended to make duplicate copies of your file, and name them: - TJS Practice.xlsb - TJS Backup.xlsb, etc. You can make as many file copies as needed! Right-click on the fie (or icon), then use the Copy/Paste commands, (oars a oie As" function (as illustrated Mac users can also use the Option key, then drag the file to another location to create a duplicate copy “Optimizing the “view” You may find yourself needing to optimize your Excel settings to get a proper view, especially for laptop use. Recommendations are... 1. First, keep the upper Excel toolbar minimized (collapsed)... It's simply not needed. To collapse, just double-click on the upper toolbar tab that the sheet is currently on. Mac users will find this at the top section of the toolbar. 3. Make sure that both Excel workbook and TJS worksheet are fully ‘maximized’. Click the little rectangle(s) next to the "x " at the top-right of window to make sure both are maximized (full-screen), and not floating around your screen. If your TJS has multiple markets, you may want to delete those markets that you don't plan to trade. This will lessen the file size, while allowing you to focus on just those markets that pertain to you. This function is in the FomelVienu, underneath the menu section - just scroll down until you see the colored buttons. Enter Broker Account(s). Go to the TJS HomelV/enu > My Info > Accounts. This sheet is used to consolidate multiple broker account statements. It can also link a particular account to a specific Tracking sheet. Recording trades. You may want to decide now if you'll be logging your trades during the trading day. If so, just keep the TJS TradingLog open while you trade, then simply log your trade info as you go. If you see this being a distraction while trading, it's suggested to print the TradeSheet (Homel/enu > TradeSheet), then make copies so they're at your disposal. Click to view next slide > Lets customize the Tracking sheet! Step Three: On the HomeMenu, click on a Tracking sheet. Now, customize it to make it "yours". Treat it as an extension to your trading plan! Anything underneath a Code or Description header can be typed over. Simply enter (or add) descriptions of what you'd like to track, then assign a code to each of them. These codes will be used in the drop-down menu's of the TradingLog sheet. The same is true for the yellow header categories above them. If you'd like to change an entire category, just retype over the default text. Now, complete each of the other Tracking sheet(s) that you plan to use - if using a multiple market product. The header will display your RecUiss osetia Cena vin test cherie ne To record a trade, start on row 18. This first row of trade input will display pop-up instructional boxes. Use the keyboard 'tab' key to scroll from left-to-right. Some cells have drop down arrows that you can use, or manually type using the keyboard. Most formulated cells will automatically be tabbed over, to avoid unexpected user error. If you need to gain access to a formulated cell in the TradingLog, you must Unprotect the sheet. Once the trade is closed (with an Exit Price), the top-header will populate, and the Tracking sheet will populate after the Performance-tracking codes have been entered. Options, Forex, SpreadBet — please click the "Trade Input" link in cell D8. TIP: If you'd like to record MFE / MAE / BSO, please click the appropriate icon found to the right of the graphs (in the TradingLog header). This will ‘unhide' the columns that are used for this analysis. Analyzing your trades What are your Strengths & Weaknesses! If you're anything like us at TJS, the process of watching your trading efforts unfold will actually be fun. In fact, it's really what this product is all about... cultivating data from the TradingLog into meaningful information in the Tracking sheet. After a string of trades have been recorded for any specific category (10 min., 20+ is best), you can start analyzing the information to see where your Strengths & Weaknesses are. Our advice is to send the losing sub-categories (descriptions) back to the ‘planner’ or simply stop doing what is not working and increase your focus on what "is" working. The protection is also a safeguard to limit troubleshooting requests and to help care for the creator's intellectual property rights.
