CEAT-CSG Implements 1:1 Ratio for Fines and Attendance Pointing System

The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology - College Student Council (CSG) held their first
general assembly for the academic year yesterday, August 30, at CEAT’s Audio-Visual Hall. The
Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers was scheduled from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Legislative Secretary
first introduced the CEAT-CSG officials before proceeding to the agenda of the general assembly.

The agenda focused on the previous admin report, current accomplishment report, resolutions amending
Janitor Fee to CEAT Clean and Green Fee, Collection and Financial Report, the Plans and Activities for
the first semester, and the Attendance Pointing System with its corresponding Fine.

Governor Karl Legada presented the current accomplishment report such as participation to Pista Y’
Cagueban last June 29, Merry Making Contest wherein CEAT won the 3rd place last August 13, and the
Freshmen Walk and Welcome among many others. Addition to this, Governor Legada also discussed
CEAT-CSG’s proposed future projects for the benefit of the college.

The Collection and Financial Report was presented by Mary Joy Tabang, CEAT-CSG Treasurer, who
explained the breakdown of the funds. It was reported that the remaining balance is 102,580.08 pesos for
the CSG Fund and 72,240.80 for the Clean and Green Fund.

The pointing system for attendance and its corresponding fine were discussed by CEAT-CSG Project
Manager, John Michael Sariego. The ratio of fine and points is 1:1 or one point is equivalent to 1 peso.
Total points is said to be 820 points for freshmen and 600 points for higher years, having 820 pesos and
600 pesos as fine if a student is not able to attend any event, activity, and or assembly required by the
CEAT-CSG.

Finally, college shirt designs were shown to the PICE student body and was decided through voting just
before the General Assembly was adjourned.
