By conducting an annual or bi-annual Job Fair, we are giving
opportunities for our learners and graduates to: 1. observe and appreciate exhibits and demonstrations related with various industries and workplaces; 2. gather first-hand information from employers on respective firms, processes and expectations; 3. inquire further on and align their abilities, skills and qualifications with industry requirements; and 4. appraise one’s choice of a field of endeavor and strengthen one’s commitment towards end employment (Batara, 2008). Partner institutions, representatives from public and private offices, firms, and industries are invited here to select and hire prospect employees among the graduates and showcase to all the learners the processes of their businesses and their expectations when it comes to hiring their workforce.

This program must be supported by
the community, particularly the public and private partner institutions, business firms, local government employment agency officers, and guest employers. ANNUAL CAREER SYMPOSIUM Symposium can be a one-time conference or formal meeting which includes discussions of public speeches of community experts or professionals for a particular field. Senior High School students can gain a lot of insights from these symposia, particularly if the discussions hit specific competencies related to their tracks and strands. This Annual Career Symposium can be done during the Career Fair or Career Week, wherein a panel discussion will be organized with representatives from various partner institutions of the school like: 1. Local government unit; 2. Private companies; 3. Cooperatives; and 4. Non-Government Organization.

WORK IMMERSION Work immersion, as a subject in Senior High School curriculum, involves hands-on experience or work simulation, wherein the learners can apply their competencies and acquired knowledge related to their chosen track. The involvement of the school’s stakeholders like the local government, non-government organizations, and private business enterprises can become the partner institutions of the school wherein they can deploy their work immersion students. The following are the objectives of Work Immersion: 1. Appreciate the importance and application of the principles and theories; 2. Enhance their technical knowledge and skills; 3. Enrich their skills in communications and human relations; and 4. Develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation and respect for work. CAREER WEEK OR CAREER FIESTA The Career Guidance Week is a celebration which aims to prevent too much waste of resources including time being spent in producing graduates in the tertiary level as well as in technical vocational education who could not meet the qualification standards in the labor market. It aims to avoid mismatch between: 1. interest/aptitude and career; 2. career and labor demand; and 3. education/training and career results from uninformed and misguided students (DepEd Order no. 25 s. 2013).
