Nine Symptoms of a Healthy Body
1. Uniformity in warmth all over the body
2. Lightness felt in the body
3. Feeling of comfort
4. Excellent appetite
5. Deep and relaxing sleep
6. Feeling of happiness in the mind
7. Capacity to perform all the internal bodily
processes successfully
8. No feeling of laziness during routine work
9. Timely excretion of waste products in proper
quantities from excretory organs without the
help of any laxatives or purgatives
If every member of a household wishes only for
his or her own happiness, ultimately nobody will
be happy. However, if they wish for each other’s
happiness, ultimately everybody will be happy.

Why Natural Lifestyle?
Think! Know! Act!
Think! - Why am I diseased? Why do I have such
diseases? Did I have these diseases when I was born or
during my childhood? Do these diseases (High blood
pressure, Diabetes, Joint pains, Stones, Thyroid, Obesity,
Hemorrhoids, Asthma, Skin disease, Ulcers, Indigestion,
Constipation, Sinus, Heart disease, etc.) happen to
animals and birds? Were these diseases affecting people
50-60 years ago? So why do I have these diseases?
Know! – Is there any method through which I can
never catch these diseases in my life? Is there any
disease that can be cured without medication or
operation? Because it is observed that in most cases,
medicines do not cure diseases and eventually, one is
forced to take medicine throughout life. Not only does
one have to bear the side effects of the disease itself, but
also the side effects of medication. One has to repeatedly
get operated after one operation (as in the case of
operations related to the nose, the neck, hemorrhoids,
stones, bypass heart surgeries, knee replacements, etc.).
After extracting organs such as the gall bladder, uterus
and the appendix from the body, one gets deprived of the
organ’s benefit. A person who has been following
modern medical practices for years ends up wasting his
life.
Act! – Following a natural lifestyle not only
prevents diseases, but it also cures diseases without any
medicines, operations, and vast amounts of money or
side effects.

called the vital force, can without doubt, cure any disease
in our body.
(A) The accumulation of toxins in the body (The first
cause of disease)
It is our responsibility to stay healthy. There are
rules for this – To help in the internal cleaning process of
the body, which means, keeping the body clean from
inside.. Just like we regularly clean our houses, the
human body also cleans itself by removing its waste
through four ways- (1) Large Intestine (through stool),
(2) Kidneys (through urine), (3) Skin (through Sweat),
(4) Lungs (through breathing).
Because of our mistakes, when our body fails to
remove waste through these four ways, the waste starts
to accumulate inside it. A disease is nothing but the
accumulation of waste inside our body. This waste is
then given several names – Stone, Join Pain, Obesity,
High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Arthritis,
Tumor, Cancer, etc. Disease is the buildup of foreign
matter, waste and toxins in our body; so, all diseases
are one (Unity of Disease). When all diseases are one,
the treatment of all diseases should also be one (Unity
of Treatment), which is removing or letting these toxins
remove from our body.
Lets take an example so that we can understand
this principle in further detail. Assume that we are
sitting in a gathering and discussing an important
matter. Suddenly, a member who the gathering does not
like comes and sits in the meeting. This causes
disturbance to the other members of the gathering
because they do not appreciate his presence. If he leaves,
they will all be relieved. Similarly, when foreign matter

(Page no. 1256)
When we forget the Divine and eat food merely
for the gratifying our taste buds, we contract diseases.
Our mind is blind. Our body is suffering the mistakes
made by our mind. What is the need of taking medicine
from a doctor? We should train our mind to control
itself. The core of the human is his Vital Force. As
soon as this Vital Force is removed from the body, the
body becomes dead, meaning, the life of the human ends.
Then that body cannot be treated by any medication. No
medicine has the power to awaken a dead body.
This proves that the source of our Vital Force
does not lie in any chemist shop or medicines. In
fact, the only source for this power is our Vital Power
itself.
23
(Shri Ramcharitmanas 7/14/9-10)
“People are suffering from many diseases and
pains. These are the product of the dishonor of your
steps (the rules and laws made by you). Those who do
not follow your rules and theories get many big diseases
and pains.”
In J.C. Thamsan’s words: “Health or freedom
from diseases is not an object that one person can
give to another. Health is a basic necessity that can
be automatically obtained by giving up disease
causing habits.”
The same thing is said on page no. 962 of The Sri
Guru Granth Sahib-
A
AA
“Our Vital Force is the only ancient doctor.
Doctors in the form of humans only work to increase
disease, nothing else.”
The way that our Vital Force works
Let’s talk about how our Vital Force works inside
our body. It is the main way to cure any disease in our
body. We need to understand this in detail. In the first
section, we learnt that due to our own mistakes when
toxins fail to exit from our body through the four natural
ways (Stool, Urine, Sweat and Breath), they start
accumulating inside our body, which is called disease.
24
food and ultimately, eats more than his hunger. The food
does not get digested properly in this manner. As a
result, the next morning, his Vital Force tries to remove
that waste from his body in the form of diarrhea. At that
very moment, he goes to the doctor and complains that
he ate a lot of junk food last night at a party the previous
night, and now he has diarrhea. Then, he asks for a
medicine to stop diarrhea. In this manner, he is asking
for a medicine to stop the removal of toxins from his
body. Ultimately, the toxins inside the body take the
form of constipation and turn into hemorrhoids in the
future.
In the case of a common cold, apart from the four
ways, nature uses a fifth way to flush out the toxins from
our body. Mucus is allowed to exit from the nose. In our
day-to-day lives, we notice that children are more
susceptible to Acute Diseases such as common cold, sore
throats, fevers, mums, acne, etc. Children have soft
bodies. We can see dirt more easily on white cloth than
on colored cloth. Similarly, because children have soft
bodies, they catch Acute Diseases very quickly. This
explains why children living in villages today, or even in
the past, had their noses running most of the time. But in
cities, we think we are wise and well educated. We don’t
feel the need to go to the doctor and pay his fees. We just
search for a medicine for a running nose at home and
make the child drink it, after which, his nose stops
running. Did our ancestors not know how to correctly up
bring their children? No, that is not true. When we take a
medicine to stop a running nose, we do not let the waste
exit form our body. Eventually, that very waste takes the
form of chronic or destructive diseases, such as cough,
tuberculosis or cancer. If we do not take medicines for
28
3. Bad Habits
If you feel that you are experiencing a disorder
such as gas, acidity, mucus or constipation in your body,
the only reason for this is that the food you ate did not
get digested.
Our food does not get digested because of the four
following mistakes-
(1) Eating without feeling hungry
(2) Wrong choice of food
(3) Over eating
(4) Eating in a restless condition (eating in anger,
fear, anxiety or hurry)
1. Eating without feeling hungry- We feel good hunger
only twice a day. But when we eat more than that, our
digestive mechanism is damaged. For examples, before
we go for a pilgrimage to Mathura-Vrindavan or
Haridwar, we plan our schedule in advance. We fuel our
cars the previous night itself because otherwise, we may
waste time the next day if we keep stopping at places.
We leave at 5 AM in the morning because later, it may be
too sunny. It makes sense to do so in the case of a
machine, because ultimately, it is a machine. Similarly, at
5 o’clock in the morning, we decide to eat 2-2 paranthas.
This is a violation of nature’s law, because nobody feels
true hunger at 5AM. Our body has nothing to do with our
compulsions. Our stomach is not a bank that we keep
adding to anytime and however much while benefitting
ourselves. Remember that our body is more intelligent
30
4. What qualities should our food have?
(A) Wholesomeness
(B) Freshness
(C) Alkalinity
(D) Frugality
(A) Wholesomeness
Our food should be wholesome, like how our wheat
flour should have bran in it. Most of the flour that we
consume is without bran. This type of flour has no bran
because the upper layer of wheat, which contains the
most nutrients, is removed. For an example, put flour in
two separate bowls. One bowl should have flour with
bran, and the other bowl should have flour without bran.
After a few days, you will see that the bowl, which had
flour with bran, will attract worms and the other bowl,
which had flour without bran, will not attract worms.
Meaning that, even worms are aware that there is
nothing worth eating in the flour without bran.
“If a person improves his food then God will take away
all miseries (diseases) from his life.”
(B) Freshness
Our food should be fresh. We should use as many
fresh fruits and vegetables as possible. If we pluck a
guava from its tree and then eat it, it tastes very
different. Till the time fruits and vegetables attached to
trees, they keep in contact with the sun, earth and air.
Once they are plucked out from the tree, they loose
contact with the sun, earth and air. As a result, fruits and
vegetables lose their nutrients as time passes. So, there
37
The human body needs unsaturated fat but all oils and
butters contain saturated fat. Unsaturated fat is present
in raw coconut kernel. There is no cholesterol in it. When
raw coconut kernel is cooked on fire, it changes into
saturated fat, and cholesterol is added to it.
Summary- Coconut is the best food on earth for
humans. It is the equivalent of nectar. If we use it
regularly, we can enjoy good health and say goodbye to
diseases.
Any food item, which does not rot in a few
hours, is not worth eating. If we want to feel light and
fresh, we should also eat light and fresh.
Three Types of Kitchens
Why and how to eat soil- Let’s understand this
using an example. If a plant is rooted on the ground, but
its leaving are drying up, branches are hardening and
loosing their flexibility, then what should we do? We
should water the plant daily and after a few days, we will
notice that the plant has become lush and green. The
branches of the plant will regain their flexibility. And
then, they will not break so easily. Has this miracle only
happened because of water? No, that is not true, because
had we uprooted the plant from the ground and placed it
in a bucket, we would not have experienced the same
results. The plant needs both water and soil. All the
nutrients (Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Multi Vitamins) are
all obtained from the ground. Water acted as a medium
to transport these nutrients to the plant, which is why it
became lush and green.
But we humans do not have our feet buried in the
ground. Our roots lie in our stomach. Our food should
contain a combination of water and soil as well. When
God created this universe, he may have thought of a way
to make us eat soil, which seems delicious to us. So, he
generously filled soil and water in fruits and vegetables
with diverse tastes, for his dearest children, us humans.
Moreover, he also allotted fruits and vegetables to
particular seasons, according to what’s best for our
health so that we do not get bored of one kind of fruit or
vegetable, he created a variety of them. It is our
misfortune that either because of ignorance, or because
of our desire to satisfy our taste buds, we started eating
acidic food instead of alkaline food. The diet routine of
an average person looks something like this- paranthas,
dosas, idlis, bhaturas and kachodis for breakfast, bread

clothes.
8. Using coconut oil, 8. Using coconut oil,
which is naturally which is naturally

not freeze in winter. freeze in winter.
9. Expensive apples, 9. Seasonal golden
java plums apples, java plums
(jaamuns) and (jaamuns) without
fruits, which oil or wax, etc.
contain oil and wax.
(D) Frugality
One who eats meagerly lives a long life. Our food
should be low in quantity. We make the most mistakes
while following this principle, because we do not know
how much we should eat. We believe that food contains
energy so the more healthy food we eat, the more benefit
we will receive. In reality, our stomach is not a bank,
which benefits each time we add to it. We should
understand when, what, how and how much to eat. You
have already learnt that you should eat only when you
are hungry and that you should eat fresh food. You
should properly chew food items and drink liquids sip by
sip in small breaks. Even if we eat natural food, but eat
too much of it, we will not receive the whole benefit.
How much should we eat? Mother Nature has prepared a
warning mechanism for us. We experience 4 types of
burps in the form of warnings. This will be explained in
the form of a story, so that it becomes clear.
48
54
This means that they will start to restrict their diets only
when they catch a disease and their health becomes
bankrupt.
All the rules stated in this book are based on this
principle. It tells how we can save this precious power
by spending as little as possible. The law of Vital
Economy is also implemented when we follow the Law
of Non-violence, which is stated later in this book.
(B) Law of Dual Effect
Upon taking stimulants like cigarettes, alcohol,
tobacco, tea, coffee, cold drinks, painkillers and certain
types of medicines, one immediately feels energized. But
as a result, later, he feels weak. That explains why people
who drink alcohol or take sleeping pills before sleeping
feel like their body is breaking down when they wake up.
They do not feel fresh and active after waking up in the
morning.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says-
आयुः सत्त्वबलारोग्यसुखप्रीितिववधर्नाः।
रस्याः िस्नग्धाः िस्थरा हृद्या आहाराः साित्त्वकिप्रयाः॥
(Gita 17/8)

of our body then the shape of that body part changes and
the space element reduces even further. A suitable
quantity of the space element can only be
maintained in our body by having a toxin-free body,
for which it is essential to follow certain dietary and
fasting rules. Air, sun and water also play a major role
in keeping the body toxins free. This will be explained in
the upcoming chapters.
Living in a low-roofed, messy and overcrowded
room makes one feel suffocated, which is bad for health.
These types of rooms have a low quantity of the space
element and as a result, a low quantity of air element as
well, which makes it difficult even to breathe. Wearing
very tight clothes, which stick to the body, are harmful
because the skin does not remain in contact with the
elements of space, air and fire. Wearing synthetic instead
of cotton is even more harmful.
The space element is a subject of experience.
Unlike the space element, the remaining 4 elements (air,
fire, water and earth) are easy to experience and
describe. Lets try to understand the space element using
an example. Assume that you just wore a recently
washed, white, cotton shirt. There are some holes in that
shirt. There is an appropriate quantity of the space
element present in the holes. We will benefit from
wearing that shirt because our body will constantly get
the elements of sun and air. Assume that you keep
wearing that shirt for many days and it becomes dirty
and heavy. Dirt will fill the holes in the shirt.
Consequently, the space element will no longer be
present in the holes and we will not be able to get the
benefit of the air and sunlight. Similarly, blood runs in
every part of our body. It acts as a transporter. If our

2. Partial Fast- Partial Fast is also called Half Fast.
During a Partial Fast, drink green coconut water, ash
gourd (petha) juice, raw fruit juice, raw vegetable juice
and water of cooked vegetables (vegetable stock) twice a
day (morning and evening). In the afternoon, eat raw
salad of seasonal vegetables (cucumber, radish, turnip,
carrot, tomato, cabbage, etc.) with 2 big spoons of grated
raw coconut kernel and green coriander. For dinner, eat
seasonal fruits (muskmelon, watermelon, guava,
pomegranate, orange, pear, pineapple, java plums
(jaamun), custard apple, sweet lime (mosambi),
tangerine (keenu) etc.) with raw coconut kernel.
During acute diseases, do a Complete Fast for 1-2
days. Once you start feeling better, do Approach to Fast
for 2-3 days and then Partial Fast for 2-3 days. Once you
are absolutely fine, you can start with your usual diet.
Start with Partial Fast during chronic diseases
(Asthma, High blood pressure, Sugar, Join pain). When
you experience acute diseases in between, follow the
guidelines for acute diseases stated above.
3. Approach to Fast- Approach to Fast means staying in
a fast-like situation. Do the Approach to Fast 1-2 days
after you start feeling better after doing a Complete Fast.
During this fast, drink green coconut water, ash gourd
(petha) juice, raw vegetable or fruit juice and water of
cooked vegetables (vegetable stock) 2-4 times a day
upon feeling hungry. If it is prohibited to do a Complete
Fast, do the Approach to Fast.

5 Stages of Pranayama
1. Rechak Kreeya (Blocking one nostril and exhaling
from the other nostril)
2. Braham Kumbhak (Blocking both nostrils and
holding breath outside after exhaling)
3. Poorak Kreeya (Inhaling from the nostril opposite
the one exhaled from in Rechak Kreeya)
4. Aantarik Kumbhak (Blocking both nostrils and
holding breath inside after inhaling)
5. Rechak Kreeya (Exhaling from the nostril
opposite the one inhaled from in the Poorak
Kreeya)
Go outdoors in fresh air (park, terrace, balcony,
outside in the street or near the window in the room). Sit
straight. Look at the pictures on the next page (Picture
no. 1, 2 and 3).
83
1. Rechak Kreeya- While doing Pranayama, sit
straight. Free your mind and start with Rechak
Kreeya. Close the 2 fingers beside your thumb on
your right hand (Picture 1). Use your right thumb
to block your right nostril and use the 2
remaining open fingers to block your left nostril,
according to the steps below. Block your right
nostril with your thumb and exhale slowly from
your left nostril without using too much force.
2. Do ‘Braham Kumbhak’ after Rechak Kreeya. At
the stage, block both nostrils and hold your
breath outside.
3. Now do ‘Poorak Kreeya’. Remove your thumb
from your right nostril and slowly inhale
according to your capacity from your right
nostril. Do not try to blow in air in your lungs
forcefully.
4. Now do ‘Aantarik Kumbhak’. Block both nostrils
and hold your breath inside for as long as you
easily can. Do not try to forcefully hold your
breath for too long.
5. Do ‘Rechak Kreeya’ again. Follow all steps in a
non-violent manner.
After this, take 3-4 long breaths to normalize the
pace of your breaths. Now, again follow the process
above starting with the opposite nostril in Rechak
Kreeya. You have to start and end on Rechak Kreeya. It is
important to note that you have to do only the Rechak
Kreeya and Poorak Kreeya repeatedly with opposite
nostrils. There will be no difference in Braham Kumbhak
84
small sips very slowly. You will feel satisfied after only
half or 1 glass because the gland of thirst lies in the
mouth and neck. Otherwise, you will keep feeling thirsty
because your thirst glands will not be satisfied and your
stomach will inflate because of drinking too much water.
As a result, your digestive system will weaken.
Remember that the water’s temperature should be
somewhere around the temperature of your body. The
temperature can also be balanced by keeping the water
in the mouth for sometime before swallowing it.
Generally, we tend to drink very cold water in summers
and hot water in winters. The body has to spend a lot of
energy in order to match the temperature of hot or cold
water with the temperature of the body, which affects
the digestive system.
Do not drink hot water even if it is very cold
outside. Cool water has a natural taste. If we boil it, it
becomes tasteless. The most important property of
water is its taste itself. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord
Krishna says-
रसः अहम् अप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभा अिस्म शिशसूयर्योः
प्रणवः सवर्वेदेषु शब्दः खे पौरुषम् नृष।ु ।
(Gita 7/8)
“Oh Arjuna, I am the sweetness of flavor in water;
the radiant luster of the sun and the moon; the
primordial root syllable Om within all the Vedas; the
subsonic element of sound in ether and the ability in
man.”
For this reason, do not drink tasteless (heated)
water. If the water is too cold, keep it in your mouth for a
94

The person should rest his neck and head on the steeper
side of the tub, the thighs on the opposite side and the
legs outside the tub, as shown in picture. (Look at
picture no. 4). While lying down in the tub, place a wet
strip cloth dipped in cold water on the stomach. In case
of a headache or any problem in the neck, wrap a small
strip cloth dipped in cold water around the neck and the
head. If your feet are generally cold, dip them in a bucket
of hot water (lukewarm). (Look at picture no. 5). The
time duration of this bath is 15-30 minutes. Since this
bath helps in reducing strain, some people (insomniacs)
even fall asleep in the time after only a few minutes. The
sleep that they experience is deep sleep. If someone
sleeps in the tub, do not wake them up. After sometime,
when the person tries to change sides, he will
automatically wake up. If possible, take a full bath after
taking the spinal bath. Is that is not possible, at least
wash your head and face with cold water or wipe your
body with the wet strip of cloth.
If the tub is not available, take an old white thick
cotton bed sheet and dip it in cold water. Fold it so that
its length is 2 feet and width is 1 feet. Spread it on the
ground and lie down over it in a way that this strip of
cloth touches your spinal cord from the top to the
bottom. In between, keep putting cold water on this
cloth. This bath can be taken any time, even after or
before a meal.
This bath should not be taken in the following
situations-
1. This bath should not be taken during winters. The
rule is that when we try to make the body do
99
104
Precautions-
1. Females should not take this bath during their
menstrual cycles.
2. This bath should be taken at least 2 hours before
and 2 hours after eating food.
4. Half Cold Bath
In this bath, each part of the body is wiped with a
wet towel one by one. With another dry towel, the part is
dried. This bath is very beneficial for those who are
unable to take a full bath. It cleans the body. In the case
of fever, take this bath 3-4 times. Due to the busy
lifestyle these days, people feel stressed and tired due to
working and studying for continuous hours at the office
or school, talking on the phone for long durations or
working on computers. In these situations, wet your
hands with cold water and place them near your ears
and head. If possible, massage your head with your
hands for instant relief.
5. Abdominal Wet Pack
When a plant or tree dries up, we pour water on its
roots, not on its leaves. Similarly, the root of the human
body is the stomach. Our vital organs and organs related
to digestion such as liver, stomach, small and big
intestines, kidney, gall bladder, pancreas etc. all lie in our
stomach. Our body absorbs the nutrients in our food
only after digestion takes place. If our stomach and

8. Hot Footbath
Pour hot (bearable) water in a bucket or a tub until
it reaches a height of about 10-12 inches. Sit on a chair
or a stool and immerse your feet in the water. While
taking the hot footbath, dip your hands in a bowl of
lukewarm water. Cover your head with a wet towel.
After 10 minutes, take your feet out of the water and
wipe them properly. If you feel a little restless in the
beginning, rinse your mouth with water. It is beneficial
to take the spinal bath after this bath. If that is not
possible, softly wet your forehead and ears with cold
water. This bath is like Steam Bath. It is highly
beneficial in increasing blood circulation if your hands
and feet stay cold or if there is an imbalance of
temperature in your body.
Hot Foot Bath is not advised to those suffering
from heart disease, high blood pressure and kidney
and liver related diseases. In these conditions, pour
hot water in a rubber bottle, wrap it with a cotton cloth
and keep it near the feet while sleeping. Cover the body
with a blanket but do not cover the face. When asthma
patients cannot even lie down because of difficulty in
breathing, this method not only enables them to breathe
easily, but it also causes them to sleep.
9. Rinsing
When a priest makes us rinse our mouth during
worship, he pours water from a small spoon onto our
palm. We take that water in our mouth. That little water
dissolves in our mouth. It does not even go down our
throat. Similarly, taking in ½ a spoon of water in your

(ii) Combined Tona/Enema
In case you do not receive any benefit from the
normal enema, take enema with 100-125 ml of
lukewarm water first. Then, take enema with the same
temperature of water immediately after that. After you
have retained both these waters for a few minutes, sit on
the toilet and wait until you are able to expel what you
need to. This type of enema is called combined enema.
(iii) Retained Tona/Enema
If you have difficulty in expelling normal feces, it
means that the waste has become very hard and dry. In
this condition, take 60 ml of cold water through enema
at night before sleeping. This water remains inside all
night and in the morning, it helps you to expel waste
normally. This type of enema is called retained enema.

6. Curry leaves
7. Finely chopped green chills
Close the lid properly after adding these
ingredients to the vegetables. These ingredients get
cooked from the steam and the vegetable is ready to
serve after 10 minutes.
Potato & Fenugreek Vegetable (Aloo Methi ki Sabzi)
Ingredients for 2 people: 500 grams of seasonal
fenugreek leaves, 2 potatoes (250 grams), 3 homegrown
tomatoes, 50 grams green coriander, 1/4th coconut
kernel, rocket salt (sendha namak) to taste, 1 green chili,
½ spoon roasted cumin, 20 curry leaves.
Method: Wash fenugreek leaves and potatoes (with
peels) in water. Slice the potato in 4 pieces. Add the
potato slices and fenugreek leaves to a steamer or a clay
pot and place it on the stove for cooking. Once they are
cooked, separate the potatoes from the fenugreek leaves.
To make the gravy, grind coconut kernel and green
coriander in a mixer and add tomatoes, sendha salt,
green chili, roasted cumin, curry leaves and cooked
fenugreek leaves after grinding them. Add this gravy to
the boiled tomatoes. Your vegetable (sabzi) is ready. This
dish is delicious and very healthy for winters. You can
make spinach-potato (aloo-palak) and bathua-potato
dishes in the same manner. If a steamer of clay pot is not
available, you can cook the vegetable in a steel pressure
cooker by giving 2 whistles.

Cumin Tea
Serves 2
Ingredients: 1 spoon of cumin, some jaggery syrup and
2 cups water.
Method: Boil the water. Then, add 1 spoon of cumin to it,
close the lid and turn off the stove. Sieve it after 5-7
minutes and serve. You can also add jaggery syrup to it
but the tea is more beneficial if it is not added.
Orange Peel Tea
Serves 2
Ingredients: 4-5 days old dried peel of an orange, some
jaggery syrup and 2 cups water.
Method: Cut the orange peel in small pieces. Then, add
these pieces to boiling water and close the lid. Turn off
the stove after one boil. If you boil more than that, the
tea might turn bitter. Then, add jaggery syrup and serve.
You can also cool it and then drink. The colder it is, the
better will it taste.
Masala Tea
Preparing the masala of the tea
Ingredients: 4-6 small pieces of cinnamon, 2 pieces of
small cardamom, 1 spoon cumin, and 4 pieces of cloves.
Method: Dry all these spices properly and fry them.
Don’t fry too much, they should not turn black, or even
brown. Then grind these spices in a mixer. The masala
for the tea is ready. Store it in a container. Use it
according to your need.

Ingredients: some jaggery syrup, 1 spoon of tea masala,
2 cups of water.
Method: Boil the water. Once it is boiled, add 1 spoon of
tea masala that you prepared to the water, close the lid
and turn off the stove. After 5-7 minutes, sieve it. This is
beneficial without adding jaggery syrup, but you can still
add it if you wish. Your tea is ready to be served.
How you act with other people determines how they
act with you. So, always do good to others.
When you work well at your job, the owner of the
job, your boss, feels happy with you. Similarly, when
you serve the world, the owner of the world, God,
feels happy with you.
The law is- You harm your own self when you harm
others and you benefit your own self when you
benefit others.
Do not accept the world you see as yours. Rather,
you have to serve the world and accept the one you
cannot see, the Divine, as yours, and always
remember him.

Ramsukhdas Ji Maharaj)

4. Incomplete information
Because of not having complete information about
natural lifestyle, one feels confused. When others tell
him about some other system or medicines, his mind
starts oscillating like the pendulum of a wall clock. He
steps in two boats at the same time.
This type of a person should read the texts written
by Gurudev Brahamleen Acharya Sheshadri
Swaminathan Ji and his Gurudev, Ach. K. Lakshmana
Sarma Ji. He should also listen to the free lectures of the
author and attend free consultations in order to expand
his knowledge and resolve his doubts.
5. Life-threatening diseases
This is the most common problem. Many people
implement natural lifestyle as an experiment at the last
stage when no other treatment works for them and his
doctors give up on him. By doing so, benefitting fully gets
difficult. Nobody is immortal in this world. But still, by
implementing this path during the end moments of life,
one’s remaining breaths are completed with less pain
than they would have before, which means that death
becomes less painful. A person want’s to be protected by
nature at his end moments. If you implement it half-
heartedly thinking that it is your last option
(experimenting) and then do not receive benefit, do not
go against this Divine path and become a partaker of
sins.
162
6. Surrender
Following natural lifestyle is walking on the path of
truthfulness. Walking on this path is a 24-hour prayer of
God. In this, diseases are not cured through medicines,
but through the internal cleaning done by our
Vaidyanath (Divine power, which is, Virtual Force). A
person wants to abandon all thoughts that confuse him
and get into natural lifestyle with full faith and belief. By
doing so, a person cannot experience misery. In the
Bhagavad Gita, God says that a person walking on the
path of truthfulness can never experience miseries. God
gives this guarantee in the following verse of the Gita-
(Gita 6/40)
Lord Krishna says, “O Arjuna! There never exists
destruction for one in this life nor in the next life; since
dear friend anyone who is engaged in virtuous acts
never comes to evil”
A
AA
(Gita 18/66)
God says, “Relinquishing all ideas of righteousness,
surrender unto Me exclusively; I will deliver you from all
painful reactions, do not worry.”
(For a detailed explanation, read ‘Gitasadhak
Sanjivni’ published by Gitapress Gorakhpur)
163
Based on this verse, Acharya Sheshadri
Swaminathan Ji created a verse-
A
AA
“Leave all types of bad habits (wrong way of living,
wrong food habits, wrong thoughts) and come under the
shelter of Mother Nature. Nature will cure all your
diseases, do not worry.”
One should surrender to the laws of nature, that is,
the Divine laws all his life. The knowledge in the Gita was
only obtained when Arjuna surrendered to God in the
Gita. Similarly, a person experiences the full happiness of
a good health after completely surrendering to Mother
Nature.
Panchamrita
1. We are a part of God.
2. Wherever we live, we live in the court of God.
3. All the good things that we do are God’s work.
4. Every pure and Sāatvik thing that we receive is
God’s offering.
5. With God’s offering, we serve the people of God.
In order to obtain happiness, give happiness to others.
The harvest you reap depends on the seeds you plant.
Everything happens for a good reason. So, stay careful
while doing your tasks and happy with their result.

Sleeplessness and Night Routine
Before sleeping, one takes off his coat, trousers,
jewelry, etc. and gets comfortable. However, he does not
quiet his mind. When two people are sleeping in the
same room, and one of them cannot sleep, he disturbs
the other one’s sleep as well. Similarly, our body also
consists of our mind. If our mind does not feel sleepy, it
does not let our body sleep either. So, it is very
important to calm the mind before sleeping.
Before sleeping, close your eyes and sit on your
bed for 2 minutes. In your mind, touch the feet of
everybody who you met during the day. They can be
your family members, neighbors, friends, servants, boss
or relatives. Apologize and forgive everyone before you
sleep.
When we do this everyday, it will become a habit
and you will experience the kind of deep sleep that one
does not even experience after taking sleeping pills.
Headache
During our childhood, our grandmother used to tell
us stories before sleeping at night. There used to be no
televisions at that time so when we insisted upon
hearing another story, she used to tell us to sleep since
the story would be left halfway and that a half told story
causes a pain in half the head.
Nowadays, television serials tell an incomplete
story in every episode. The viewers get tensed and
wonder what’s going to happen in the next days episode.
Because of this reason, diseases such as headache,

1. Tolerating hunger in case of fasting or
unavailability of proper food.
2. Tolerating pain in the body rather than taking
medicines
3. Tolerating an insult rather than being afflicted by
it.
Asthma
Since the writer of this book himself suffered
through this disease for 15 years, he has a lot of
experience in it. If you experience gas, acidity, mucus
and constipation, you should know that the food that you
are consuming is not getting digested. Asthma usually
happens due to the accumulation of mucus in the lungs.
This disease has two forms- 1) Sub-Acute Phase and 2)
Acute Phase. In the Sub-Acute Phase, one can easily do
his daily chores and appear normal. In this situation, one
should follow the routine described for chronic diseases.
In the Acute-Phase, the asthma attack is so intense that
one cannot even breathe while lying down. He spends
the whole night sitting on the bed. In this condition, use
enema and take hotfoot bath. While sleeping at night,
take a hot water bottle made of rubber, wrap a cotton
cloth around it and keep it near your feet while gently
massaging the areas near your nose.
Doing non-violent pranayama, sunbathing and
completely following natural lifestyle will benefit you.
Because the writer suffered through this disease
for 15 years, he has tried all types of treatments. He went
to several big hospitals for consultation. AIIMS, P.G.I.,
Chandigarh, A.M.C, Ludhiana, Rajendra Hospital, Patiala
are some of the main ones. Everyone insisted that the
writer is suffering from the disease because his mother
suffers from chronic asthma. They told him to regularly
take medicines and stay away from any work involving
dirt. Even after regularly taking medicines and following
their precautions, the disease only got worse day-by-day.
After following the natural lifestyle, the writer has not
taken any allopathic, ayurvedic or homeopathic
179
of raw vegetables) or fast for 1-2 days. Use the cold wet
pack on the abdomen and neck for ½ an hour 3-4 times a
day. Gargle with fresh water and ash gourd (petha) juice
and take non-violent enema. After completely following
natural lifestyle, your disease will permanently cure
without getting any surgery.
Hernia
This disease takes place in several parts of the
body. It is mainly related to the stomach. The intestines
in the stomach naturally stay in their position. But due to
our mistakes, the intestine emerges on our exterior body
and we try to press it back inside. But, as soon as we stop
pressing, it emerges on the body again. This disease is
called hernia. Let us use an example in order to
understand what hernia is. There are several stitches on
a football and a bladder in which air is filled. When the
football gets old, the bladder emerges on the part where
the stitches weaken and then goes back inside when it is
pressed. Even if we re-stitch a part of the football, the
bladder again emerges because the football is old. The
only solution is to lower the air pressure in the bladder.
Similarly, when our intestines swell or waste
accumulates inside our body due to our mistakes, the
stomach inflates. As a result, the intestine emerges on
the exterior part of our stomach. This is called Hernia.
In modern medical practices, stitches are put through
operation on the region from where the intestines come
out. However, due to the inflated stomach the intestines
come out from some other portion due to the rising
pressure inside. That is why, this disease occurs again
even after getting an operation.

pain. In this condition, using the hot and cold pack gives
immediate relief. For this, take hot water in one bowl
and fresh cold water in another bowl. Take two
handkerchiefs and dip them in each of the bowls. Take
out and squeeze the cloth dipped in hot water and keep
it near the affected area (where it is paining) for 3
minutes. Alternatively, keep the cold cloth on the same
area for one minute. Use non-violent enema. This will
cause immediate pain relief. Simultaneously, improve
your diet and follow natural lifestyle completely.
In the writer’s experience, many patients have
cured kidney stones-

Gall Bladder Stone
Bile is made by glucose in the body, secreted by the
liver and stored in the gall bladder. From the gall
bladder, the bile slowly drops into the small intestine.
This bile helps to digest heavy foods (grains, pulses,
sweets, dairy products, etc.) that the stomach is unable
to digest. The body makes a greater quantity of glucose
when one consumes heavy foods such as too much grain,
pulses, dairy products etc. Simultaneously, the body also
releases a greater quantity of bile, which is stored in the
gall bladder. The gall bladder can only store about 50
grams of bile and thus, the bile starts to thicken. Because
the bile stars to thicken, it turns into solid, which is
called a stone in the gall bladder. That is why, there are

3. Sun bathing
Our eyes need Vitamin D, which is obtained from the
sun. Sun bathing does not only provide vitamin D, but
also phosphorus and calcium. The body is benefitted by
the light of the sun, not its heat. Sun bathe before 9 in the
morning or after 5 in the evening. Sunbathe in a private
place where you can take off your clothes. Know the
proper instructions of sunbathing from the book ‘Sun
Light For Health’.
4. Suryanamaskar
This posture is a mix of both- sunbathing and
physical exercise. It helps to increase the power of the
digestive system. The liver, stomach, spleen, intestine
are massaged. The digestive system is toned up. It
increases the health of the eyes as well.
5. Water therapy
(A) Splash cold water on your eyes 2-3 times a day
(40-50 times at once).
(B) Cold wet pack- Apply a cold wet pack on your
eyes while sleeping or resting for 15-20 minutes
2-3 times a day. This will give relaxation to your
eye muscles and reduce stress. When the
temperature around the eyes reduces, the blood
circulation increases.
(C) Vegetable Poultice- Grate different kinds of
vegetables (carrot, cucumber, banana stem or
curry leaves) and apply on your eyes. Then tie a
cotton cloth over your eyes. Keep it for ½-2
197

3. Bend your head forward and move it towards
your left shoulder. Then, move it through your
chest and bring it towards your right
shoulder. Repeat this exercise with the
opposite shoulder.
4. Turn your neck towards your right shoulder
without bending. Then, turn it towards the left
shoulder.
These exercises help in giving rest to the stiff
nerves in the neck and eyes and increases blood
circulation.
Taking care of children
A baby’s health depends on the level of health of
his mother because the baby drinks the mother’s milk.
First of all, the mother should improve her own habits by
following natural lifestyle. The baby should feed upon
his mother’s milk from birth. A mother’s milk has all
nutrients and medicines to keep the baby healthy,
protect him from diseases and develop him. Before
breastfeeding, when the baby is awake and empty
stomached, make him lie on his stomach for a while. In
this condition, the baby will look up and automatically
get the benefits of Bhujangasan, Salabhasan and
Dhanurasan. Therefore, keep the baby in this position 3-
201
4 times every day for 6-8 days after birth. Strong light
harms the baby’s eyes till about 40 days after this birth.
For this reason, in olden times, the baby was not let out
of the room till about 40 days. But the room should have
air, sunlight and a little light.
The baby should feed upon only his mother’s milk
for about the first 6 months. Keep giving him mother’s
milk for at least 2 years. Then, in the third year, after 6
months, start giving him raw fruit and vegetable juices,
soups and coconut water (dabh) one by one along with
mother’s milk. Then, he should be given seasonal fruits
and vegetables once he develops his teeth. After another
1 year, give him boiled vegetables and fruits along with
liquids. You can give him banana or papaya in coconut
milk. After another 1½ years, you can give soaked
chiwda along with boiled vegetables. You can also give
him boiled potatoes, khichdi or daliya made with
vegetables. Then, after another 2 years, you can
gradually start giving him a normal diet. Give the
following lunch to children going to school:
1. Composite roti (roti made with carrot, spinach,
radish, coconut kernel, etc.) along with salad and
coconut kernel.
2. Sprouted lentils (moong, moth, chana, rajma, or
peanuts) with finely grated coconut kernel,
cucumber, tomato, coriander, etc. Occasionally,
you can put potatoes inside brown bread, toast it
and serve.
3. If the child is stubborn on eating bread, then you
can occasionally serve him sandwiches filled with
raw vegetable salad and grated coconut kernel.

Asthma
My disease started in the year
1989. First, I experienced cough. My
coughing subsided after eating
medicines for several days but then,
I started to experience itching in my
eyes and cold. I took Ayurvedic
medicine for the first few days. But
when the problem went out of control, I started taking
allopathic medicines. Allopathic medicines suppressed
the cough, which later caused asthmatic problem.
In order to cure my problem, I tried all treatments-
Ayurveda, homeopathy, allopathy, acupressure, yoga,
asthma medicine mixed with dessert (kheer), Hyderabad
fish medicine, etc. but, nothing helped. The medicines
made my body so weak, that forget junk food, I had to
stop eating most salads and fruits. I suffered with sinus
till 2001. On 26 June, 2001, I started nature cure taught
by Mohan Ji. 25th June 2001 was the last day when I took
any medicine. Since that day, I have not taken any kind of
medicine.
Today, I am living a healthy life. When I face any acute
disease, I cure myself without any medicines through
natural lifestyle.

Obesity
The most important moment of my life was the
evening of 15 August 2006 when there was a free lecture
going on about nature cure by Shri Mohan Gupta Ji. The
things he told about nature cure had such a deep impact
on me that at that very moment, I committed to
implement this lifestyle. After following his instructions,
I reduced 23 kgs and became completely healthy. Wrong
food and wrong lifestyle is the most important cause of
any disease. Treating any type of disease is possible
through nature cure. Just like how India gained
independence from British rule on 15 August 1947, I
gained independence from wrong food habits on 15
August 2006. I have full belief that this book written by
Shri Mohan Gupta will prove beneficial for people of all
categories and after reading it, people will turn towards
nature cure and stay healthy. I pray to God to give Shri
Mohan Gupta a long life so that he can continue serving
with his selfless attitude.

Conceive
In the year 2000, my husband and I met the honored
Ach. Sheshadri Swaminathan Ji. The problem was that
we could not conceive a baby even 4 years after our
marriage. For about 2 hours, he gave us detailed
explanations of the diet routine, posture exercises,
positive thinking, worshiping to God and water therapy.

NATURAL LIFESTYLE ®
Picture : Spinal Bath Tub
Study the image according to the instructions given
above. Do not cut the model without drawing this image
on the sheet of iron. Cut along the solid lines and just
fold the iron sheet along the dotted lines. Fold the panels
through sticking them with glue. Now, the model of the
tub is ready.
The picture on top shows the markings on the iron
sheet (the tub from the top) and the image at the bottom
shows the tub from the side. Remember that side AC is

steeper than side BD. Side AC is the top (head of the tub)
and side BD is the bottom.
An iron road of thickness 5/16” is put on the four
sides- PO, UM, KL, and NV. This rod should be in one
piece and should join somewhere between M and E.
A flat strip measuring 1X1/2” is put 1” inside sides QS
and RT through the joints of the legs. The corners of the
strip are bent down, according to the image shown, so
that the tub can remain stable on the floor.
Two handles are put between I & J and between H & J.
Before cutting the iron sheet, understand this image
properly so that you can take its benefit.
