Grammar mistakes students keep making

Bad habits to get rid of:

1. Fun or Funny?
They are not interchangeably
Fun = enjoyable, entertaining, having a good time.
Antonyms – boring, dull.

Funny = 1. Humorous; 2. strange, weird.

It sounds funny if we use funny instead of fun.

2. TOO – used incorrectly

We use too to add emphasise with the meaning of excessive, higher degree that you want
(negative connotation).
Not similar to really, hot, very.

3. Using the wrong adjective -ed or -ing

-ed = how people feel
-ing = thing/ person that causes the feeling
