Reference for: Jake Dowsett

To Whom It May Concern,

Jake undertook a three day outdoor education camp above and beyond his
practicum, with two classes of year 6/7 students at the end of term 2.

Jake carried out his duties on camp in an exemplary manner, managing groups
and individuals in a friendly and supportive way. He competently related to
students outside the normal classroom setting, using humour and showing
genuine concern in supporting students during activities and camp challenges,
being an excellent role model, especially for male students.

Jake showed initiative to help maximise learning outcomes for the camp to run in
an efficient and timely manner.

I would not hesitate in recommending Jake for a teaching position given his
organisational and planning skills, his enthusiasm, knowledge and ability to
relate to individual students, groups of students and colleagues in a professional
manner.

As a teacher of 35 years, having observed and interacted with Jake, I believe has
earned the right to be considered for a teaching position, based not only on his
involvement with camp but also on his teaching practicum in 2018. Hopefully,
his commitment and dedication to achieve, will be rewarded with the
opportunity to work as a teacher as someone who would make a valuable
addition to the teaching profession.

Sincerely,

Mr Trevor Gobbett
