QUESTION MARK (?)
 Used at the end of an interrogative sentence or a direct question.
EXAMPLES:

Did you eat your breakfast?

Have you seen a movie adaptation of Le Morte d’ Arthur?

EXCLAMATION POINT (!)


 Signals the reader the writer’s strong attitude to something
 May expresses the voice’s emotions of annoyance, anger, awe, surprise, etc.
EXAMPLES:

You cannot say that!

Oh, forgive me!


REMEMBER! Statements ending with more than one exclamation point are considered as
grammatically incorrect since an exclamation point already signals a strong expression.

ELLIPSIS
 Indicates that a part of the text has been intentionally left out.
 Signals the reader that the statement is supposed to be continued or has ended
abruptly.
EXAMPLES:

King Arthur… one of the greatest kings of his time.

Merlin could have died if not for…
