Linkedin Learning - Setup and Overview: Athenauniversity
On this page you will have the option to connect your LinkedIn account. We recommend that you do
this for a few reasons:
• Linking your account will allow LinkedIn Learning to provide personalized recommendations
based on your job title and listed skills in LinkedIn.
• This will allow you to access your LinkedIn Learning account from outside that athena
network/VPN. This means you can easily use the LinkedIn Learning Mobile app, or even
access content on your personal computer using your LinkedIn username and password.
Please note that this feature has a slight delay. It may take up to a week for this feature to
become active on your account.
• Linking your account gives you the option of highlighting the skills you learn and badges you
earn on your public LinkedIn profile. This is a great way to show what you’re learning and
the skills you’re earning to your broader network!
3. If you choose to link your account, you will be directed to confirm your identity on a page like
the one below.
Once you have completed your activation, you will be able to navigate the full site. If you would like to

Site Learning.” Once you have an understanding of the platform, try searching for content that is of
interest to you or take a look at the recommended courses based on your skills!
LinkedIn Learning also provides a mobile app. You can download the app and login with your
Mobile App credentials and access the same great content on your phone. If you linked your account with your
LinkedIn account, you can simply use your LinkedIn credentials. Please note, it may take up to two
weeks for access to work. If you did not link your account, you will need to have the VPN accessible on
your mobile device.
