=> Glucose appears in urine usully levels of Blood Glucose > 180 mg/dl (Renal Threshold)
=> Glucose in urine may be seen at < 180 mg/dl Blood Glucose in the following conditions
1. Idiopathic. 2. Pregnancy . 3. Kidney Disease. 4. Early Diabetes with low Renal Threshold.
=> Few cases of diabetes may show Hyperglycemia without Glycosuria due to raised Renal Threshold.
=> An individual may show higher fasting glucose level in comparison to post prandial glucose level due to following reasons :
The glycaemic index and response to food consumed, Changes in body composition, Increased insulin responseand
sensitivity, Alimentary hypoglycemia, Renal glycosuria, Effect of oral hypoglycaemics & Insulin treatment.
