Statement of purpose

The Blind People’s Association (BPA) is an organisation in India which

promotes comprehensive rehabilitation of persons with all categories of
disabilities through education, training, employment, community based
rehabilitation, integrated education, research, publications, human resource
development and other innovative means. It believes that people with disability
should be treated equally by the society and strives to provide them employment
opportunities so that they can be independent and show to the society that they
are equal and should be treated equally. I being fully abled do know what
problems the fully abled people go through, but I want to know what do the
people who are differently abled go through, and being around them will surely
give me an opportunity to know about this in depth. I also wish to learn some
management skill practically, which I have studied the theory of. Working with
Blind People Association will provide me opportunity to help them and also
learn a lot from them how they tackle the society and emerge as winners.
