Static characterization of oil fields and their implications in decision making

Like any operational activity in wells, it´s very important to consider geological-geophysical
models, which can impact the success or failure of an intervention, operation or development
plan of an oil field.
The session aims to show the qualitative - quantitative analysis that is obtains during the
process a static characterization of a reservoir, which allow early identification of
opportunities, critical risk variables of the subsoil and resources, which impact on the
technical and economic results and feasibility of an Upstream project, highlighting the
following topics:

- Sedimentary and stratigraphic model

- Petrophysical models
- Seismic-structural models
- Geomechanics
- Spatial distribution of properties
- Probabilistic and deterministic estimate of resources
- Wells
- Risks
- Development plans
- New technologies
