 Getting Started 
 
Download and Unzip the Template

Your files will download as a .zip file. Simply unzip and double click on the After Effects project
file. If you are reading this document, you have probably already completed this step.  
 
Open the Project
 
The project is optimized for After Effects CC and CS6. In the project panel, you will see six
folders:

 
Inside each folder is a series of transition compositions. To open the compositions simply 
double click and they will pop up in your timeline and composition panel. The ‘Assets’ folder has 
solids and various other shape layers. You shouldn’t need to open the Assets folder for any 
reason. 
 
Using the Template
 
Simply drag your desired transition composition into your desired composition. If you want to 
customize the colors you can simply open the respective composition and adjust the fill effects 
on the ‘Color Control’ layer. You can also export each composition using alpha channels to 
create video that can be easily layered in your NLE of choice.
