political response concerning agrarian reform.

The cases of Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan provide interesting insights concerning the
channels through which a successful land reform can influence subsequent economic performance.

According to the results, the labor-saving productivity growth in agriculture induced by reforms
is responsible for the post-reform acceleration of structural change in these countries

document
“Agrarian reform legislations, policies and programs in Asia were the direct result of occupation
forces; revolutionary government, military dictatorships seeking popular supports. However, the more
presence of policies does not always lead to effective implementation. The following is a brief summary
of past land/agrarian reforms in the different Asian countries and regions based on three broad
categories of agrarian systems”.

organizational system of the People’s commune which had proven to be low efficiency. In this
the result of the reform have been impressive.

Why do Farmers still hungry even though agrarian reform was established for almost 40
years especially here in the Philippines?
