Greetings from Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science.

GTRE has sanctioned a CARS project titled “​Development of See through Wall Passive Eddy
Current Sensor for Blade Detection” ​to Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science.
(Ref: No.: Sanction No: GTRE/MMG/BMR/1049/18/CARS/A/18- dt.01/06/18)
The project start date is ​07/09/2018 ​(Date of receipt of First Installment).

1. Objectives:

To develop a proof of concept, exclusive see through sensing technology passive eddy
current sensor for tip timing measurement of fan.

Demonstration of developed probe as a lab model at HITS and thereafter testing at

Assembly hanger at GTRE .

To demonstrate the developed technology on the engine by providing two sensors for fan
at GTRE.

The performance of the developed sensor will be compared with the existing imported
sensor, measurement system at GTRE.

The preliminary test sensor fabrication is completed and tested with MS casing and Fan.

We require the above mentioned ​Titanium grade material (1000 x 750 x 2 mm)​ to fabricate the
eddy current sensor.
We request you to provide the titanium material to complete the project as per GTRE
requirement​.
