Abstract In this investigation we report the fabrication of composite coatings with silver nanoparticles (AgNPS), Dioactive 4585 Bioglass® (4585 BG) and the polysaccharide chitosan (CTS) by voltage-pulsed (VP) and voltage- constant (VC) electrophoretic deposition (EPD) on Ti-6Al-4V anodized surfaces. AgNPs were synthesized by chemical reduction and subsequently added to a CT'S-4585 BG suspension. Electrochemical anodization of the alloy produced titanium dioxide nanotubes (TiO NTBs) which offered nanoarchitecture on the substrate, promoting the apatite growth and generating a suitable microenvironment for macrophages. The different microstructures of the coatings produced with VP and VC affected the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and nitric oxide (NO) production from murine macrophages cultured on the coatings. These results initially help assess the biocoating’s microstructure and chemical composition as a suitable implant, htpsshwwwsciencedie ‘comisciencelartclelabs!pi!S0257897219907212 42 msr019 CChitosar-bioglass coatings on pataly nanostuct 13 anodized Ti-A\-8V alloy for biomecieal applications - ScienceDirect Keywords Pulsed voltage; Bioglass; Nanostructured anodization; Macrophage response; Electrophoretic deposition Recommended articles Citing articles (0) View ul text © 2018 Elsevier BN llrightsreserved ELSEVIER about scenceDirect Remote access Shopping cart Advertise Contact and support Terms and coniions Privacy policy We use cookies to help provide and enhance our service and tailor content and ads.
