I think the Ateneo’s ECE Laboratories are the best in Bicol.

In terms of high-end, powerful, and

advanced laboratory equipment, no other school in the region can top AdNU. Ateneo has a complete set
of equipment and devices to cater to the needs of the students. These devices also aided the students to
learn and understand the theoretical concepts studied during lecture classes. My only suggestion is the
addition of devices and equipment. Often times, during laboratory class students are sharing laboratory
equipment. A group of 2 is good, but more than this number the equipment is not utilized effectively.
My suggested ratio of students to equipment is 2:1 so that everyone can experience and explore during
laboratory activities. Upgrading computers will help too. ECE students have computer-based
laboratories like digicom and signals that involve simulations and I think our computer facilities are not
that good enough. Some computers are prone to lagging and sometimes crash in the middle of a
complex simulation. Custodians in the laboratories are very approachable and professional in their job.

The instructors in the department are the best. They are all experienced and experts in the
subjects that they are teaching. My only suggestion is the addition of instructors in the department. It is
very clear that the department needs additional instructor because most of the current instructors are
full-load every semester. The department should hire additional instructors that are experts to the
subjects offered by the department.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay in Ateneo under the ECE department. We are constantly
one of the top-performing ECE schools in the Philippines and that is the proof that we are one of the
best and we produce the best engineers in the country.
