Amphibians in Honduras

The Bufonidae (Bufonidae) are a family of the order Anura, belonging to the class of
amphibians. Many of its species are known by the common name of toads; however, many
species from other families are also commonly called toads.

The frogs are a group of amphibians, with taxonomic rank of order, commonly known as frogs
and toads. Adults are characterized by lack of glue, to present a short and very enlarged body
and a subsequent highly developed and adapted for jumping legs. The frogs are the largest
group of amphibians; it is estimated that there are about 6,608 species, distributed in 54
families.

The common salamander (Salamandra salamander) is a species of amphibian Salamandridae


urodelo of the family. It is the most common urodele in Europe. Terrestrial habits, only enters
the water to give birth, and many subspecies do on land. It is an unmistakable urodelo, black
background varied and intense yellow stains that can cover almost the entire body. Sometimes
reddish spots are also appreciated.
