Title : The Relation Between Types of Personality and Nurse' Performances in The Ward of GMIM
Bethesda Public Hospital Tomohon

Competency is an absolute requirement for nurses in providing health services because the
development of society's knowledge is increasing rapidly, especially their knowledge of health. The
quality of services have to be maintained in order to provide an excellent one. The performances of
people in doing their work is always based on what personality they have which might affects the result
of each works they do.

The aim of this research is to know the relation between types of personality and nurse' performances
in the ward of GMIM Bethesda Public Hospital Tomohon.

Research method : this research design uses a cross-sectional approach and purposive sampling
technique with 62 respondents. Data Collection: The data collected by using questionnaires to measure
the types of personality and nurse' performances.

The result is using chi square in the level of significant 95% results p values = 0.000 < 0.05

Conclusion: This research shows that there is a relation between types of personality and nurse'
performances in the ward of GMIM Bethesda Public Hospital Tomohon.

Suggestion: It is expected that the hospital could understand the sync between the nurses and patients
in order to accommodate an optimal and effective services.
