Verb Game

1. Divide class into groups of 3-4.

2. Choose a location (e.g. park, library, canteen, home, school).
3. Set timer for 2 minutes
4. Each person in their group writes down as many action verbs (in the infinitives) as they can
think of for that place.
5. When the time is up, compare the verbs with the rest of the group.
6. Cross off any verbs that someone else in group also has.
7. The person with the most unique verbs is the winner.
