Man ray was born in Philadelphia in the year 1890.

Man ray was a painter, object artist and a film maker, in fact he was the very
first artist who’s images were more valuable to collectors than his artistic work.
Man ray (many ray) grew up alongside family members who had similar
interests and who worked in the artistic industry.
For example, his farther worked in a garment factory (a clothes factory) and
who also owned a small tailoring shop outside his home.
In addition to this his farther working in an artistic industry, his mother was
very passionate with making clothes, tailoring and designing clothes for her
family.
Man, rays experience around his family resulted in man ray to have an artistic
eye for clothing and sewing related items within his photography.
Man, ray was a surrealist and Dadaist which created diversity between the
movements from his work.
His work is very popular as he produced brilliant art works that are formally
known as Rayogrammes.
Rayograms are images created on a piece of photographic paper, light is
exposed and then the image is produced by the shadow of the object.
Man ray attended school that provided him with solid education teach him
drawing and artist techniques.
He applied his education by visiting artist museums where he learnt the works
of Leonardo da Vinci , Michelangelo ,titan ,Caravaggio ,these are only few of the
old masters that he had learnt from .
He was mostly inspired by the artists Mr Alfred Stieglitz as well as Mr Robert
Henri which has had a dramatic affect on his work.
