HOLDEN COMMODORE VR/VS/VT key


Programming Procedures

Holden Commodore vehicles use a unique security and immobilizer system.

The system uses a physical contact between the key and the slip
ring/aerial. Always check the contact points between the slip ring and
key for dirt and oxidization.

Commodore models VR, VS, and VT can only have a maximum of 6 keys coded
to the vehicle or the BCM will have to be replaced.

IMPORTANT Keys cannot be erased from the system once they have been
programmed.

1/ Connect the G-Scan scan tool and go to body (BCM),

2/. Select read trouble codes if any are stored make a record of them
and then erase all codes from memory.

3/ Select Security and then select program additional keys

4/ Insert key in vehicle ignition and turn to the ON position.

5/ Select PROGRAM ADDITIONAL KEY from menu, read disclaimer press F1,
F2, F3 and F4 buttons to accept the disclaimer to proceed.

6/ Remove key from ignition and turn ignition on with new remote and
key as prompted on the screen.
Press Enter and wait 15 seconds
Key should now be programmed.

7/.Remove from ignition and test, cycle the key remote unlock buttons
to lock and unlock the doors via central locking.

IMPORTANT DASHBOARD RED SECURITY LED MUST BE OFF FOR THIS PROCEDURE TO
BE SUCCESSFUL
