PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES

1. This type of composition tests you to write a step-by-step explanation of a


processes or procedures.
2. Your description must be clear, so that readers should understand how the
procedure is carried out.
3. Study the pictures and notes given before you start writing.
4. Expand on the notes given.
5. Describe your process in the correct sequence and use logical sequence connecters
to link the steps. (first, second, next, then, afterwards, later, meanwhile, finally,
etc.)
6. Make sure use the correct tense. Processes and procedures are usually described
in the simple present tense.
7. Sometimes we can use passive form to describe processes and procedures.
