Carlos Vives Biography

Carlos Alberto Vives Restrepo born August 7 at Santa Marta-Colombia. He is 45 years

old, he is a singer, composer, actor and business man. Carlos Vives is the most
emblematic artistic from Colombia and one of representative composer of Latin-
American music.
Carlos Vives begin his career like actor in the T.V show “pequeños gigantes”. For three
years in T.V show he exposed high ability for his character and a great future in acting.
Moreover, Carlos Vives has a special exhibition in the Grammy museum, for his
successful career in the music. This exhibition had some iconic clothes that he usually
used in his presentation and some important instruments for him. He won the prize Ondas
from Spain for his big input to Spanish and Latin-American music. Finally, he was
received honor and the recognition from the Musa Award, this prize allows for a Vives
to the hall of the famous Latin-American composer.
