Company Profile
Airbnb, Inc. is an virtual marketplace that provide people to arranging or offering lodging,
primarily homestays, or tourism experiences. The company itself, does not own any of the
real estate listings, nor does it host events; it acts as a broker and receiving commissions
from each booking. The company is based in San Francisco, California, United States. In
the beginning, designers Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia couldn’t afford the rent on their
apartement in San Francisco. To make ends meet, they put an air matress in their living
room, effectively turning their apartment into a bed and breakfast, in order to offset the
high cost of rent in San Francisco. Airbnb is a shortened version of its original name,
AirBedandBreakfast.com.

2. Who? Customer
The Travelers:
This market segment involves mostly those who enjoy traveling and at the same
time not spending all of their money in a hotel room. They would rather spend their in
visiting touristic places while they travel because they will not be spending much time
where they will be staying. There are some travelers who rather stay somewhere they can
relax and spend most of their days without emptying their pockets.
The Hosts:
These include owners or renters who are willing to rent out their places. The reasons
vary as well. They might want to make some money out of an unoccupied space or simply
they just want to meet interest people. Whatever the reason is, all hosts are looking to list
their current place on Airbnb because they have the ability to get to know who will be
staying in their property.

looking to provide greater experiences to its users, both the hosts and guests. The

How? Sastify Customer

The average consumer of airbnb gives satisfaction for the service that they get when
renting an inn from airbnb, both in terms of the applications offered by airbnb and lodging
that is well serviced by the owner of the house. But, there are also some consumers who
are still dissatisfied with the airbnb application platform service, namely not seeing other
customer satisfaction surveys for airbnb ratings.
And also for the hosts Airbnb generates revenue who keep about 97 per cent of the
price charge for their listing in the platform. That makes Airbnb not only give their focus
just on the travelers but also the hosts that use their platform to rent out their places.
