My Emotions

A printable chart from Just Another Mom

For use with individuals with autism, non-verbal children, or pre-

readers.

Graphics purchased from Scrappin Doodles

Though you can also use something like PECS, I created this simple chart to help you
help your child manage their emotions. Or, at the very least, give them a way to
express and possibly explain why they're feeling what they're feeling.

This chart is available for boys and girls.

Contents:

Emotions (Happy, Silly, Mad, Sad, Surprised, Excited, Unsure, Confused)- in both boy
and girl options and with and without words beneath.

Sentence Strips: (I feel..., Today I feel..., This morning I felt..., but now I feel...)

I would recommend that you print these out on cardstock and laminate them for
lasting use. You can also apply Velcro strips to the backs of the emotion cards and to
the front of the sentence strips.

You can use these for sentence strips, as a feelings matching game, or social stories (ex.
When someone takes my toy I feel...) or to make a feelings book. If you have any
suggestions for a sentence strip (ex. When I have pizza, I feel... or When it's raining, I
feel...) please e-mail me: justanothermom.net@gmail.com and I will be happy to
make them for you!
Emotions (with words)

But now I feel...

When someone takes my toy,
I feel...

When someone hits me,

I feel...
When I have ice cream,
I feel...

I feel...
