HYPOTHETICAL PROJECT
Whatis a Haat?
A Permenant market that promotes the craft , food and cultl-
ural activities of a place.
The concept of urban haat is to provide space ro artisan and
craft men of india exhibit and sell their handicrafts, therefore
cutting the middle agencies.
DESIGN TYPOLOGY
Commercial and Recreational .
AIM
To design a cultural hub to promote local handicrafts and cu-
Iture of the place and its adjoining areas through the sale of
artefacts, garments, accessories etc.
HYPOTHETICAL PROJECT
LOCATION :
Preferred location is in Willingdon island , KOCHI.
REASON: Kochi is one of the fastest growing urban cities in
india and lot of cultural events that attracts tourism from all
around the world which is added advantage to develop an
urban haat in particular district.Area of site - 22 acres

Cochin bus stand - 9 km

popular in last few years,and that require sports facilities
for practice and competition.
