British Columbia Education Quality Assurance (BCEQA)

EQA is a quality assurance designation that identifies BC public and private post-secondary institutions
that have met or exceeded provincial government recognized quality assurance standards and offer
consumer protection.

EQA provides one standard provincial seal that can be recognized globally as symbol of quality.

The EQA seal allows students to easily identify which provincial institutions the government of BC
recognizes as having met quality assurance standards and that offer consumer protection to learners.
EQA is a voluntary designation available to all BC public and private post-secondary institutions.

Canadian Information Center for International Credentials

The Canadian Information Center for International Credentials (CICIC) was established in 1990, after
Canada ratified the UNESCO Convention on the Recognition of Studies, Diplomas and Degrees concern-
ing Higher Education in the States belonging to the Europe Region, to assist Canada in carrying out its
obligations under the terms of this convention.

Academic Partnerships

Centre for Digital Media

The CDM offers a Master of Digital Media, a jointly offered degree by the University of British Columbia, Simon
Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and British Columbia Institute of Technology.

The CDM will provide recruitment support to the Vancouver Animation School (VANAS) to encourage eligible
VANAS candidates to apply to the MDM program.
Forms of support include but are not limited to:
• Customized information sessions and webinars for VANAS students.
• General portfolio reviews
• CDM campus visits and tours
• Visits by CDM faculty and/or MDM Director (via the VANAS interactive learning management system)
Successful students classified as competitive would be considered for CDM scholarships as listed in the following

ships listed).

Emily Carr University of Art and Design, University Pathway.

After graduating from a diploma program at VANAS, students will have the option to enter the workforce or to pursue
a degree at ECUAD. Where Emily Carr University has established the best degree pathway based on the VANAS diploma
and students future careers.

Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla, Joint Program

Vancouver Animation School and University Ibero Americana Puebla will deliver a joint program with hybrid
education using online and onsite models of delivery.

Mexican students will receive a Canadian accredited education at University Ibero Americana Puebla, delivered
in English, by Vancouver Animation School industry professionals who are currently working at major studios in
key locations around the world. Students will graduate in Vancouver, Canada and will receive a dual credential
recognized by both institutions and both countries.

Universidad Anáhuac, Study Abroad

Vancouver Animation School and Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte have developed a Study Abroad partner-
ship among each institutions. Such partnership will allow Anahuac students to transition into VANAS specialized
programs in the Animation, Visual Effects and Video Game industries. Anahuac students will have the following
advantages:

- Direct Admission (no need to present an art portfolio)
- Additional Tuition Discount for top students with a 90% GPA at Anahuac Mexico
