1 Upgrade Preparation

Step 1. A MICRO SD card of 2GB or more should be available. The MICRO SD card

made by Sandisk, Kingstone, or Kingmax is recommended.

Step 2. Format the MICRO SD card (This operation is optional).

Step 3. Copy the Software: main package file UPDATE.APP to a directory named dload.

Step 4. Copy the entire dload folder (with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root directory of the

MICRO SD card.

Step 5. Insert the MICRO SD card into the handset and power on.

2.1 Upgrade Steps

Step 1. Press Settings->About phone -> System Update -> Local update -> Confirm to

start the upgrade. Reference to the following pictures as example

Step 2. When the progress bar stop, the phone will restart, if not you need to remove

the battery manually.

2.2 Version number Verification：

After power on, select Settings --> About phone ，check the Build

number whether is the number we want to upgrade。

3 Upgrade Customized Package

1) Upgrade Steps：

a) Delete upgrade package “UPDATE.APP” in SD card “dload”

folder, and copy the customized package “UPDATE.APP” to

SD card “dload” folder.

b) Using SD card upgrade steps to upgrade customized package,

2) Customized Package Verification

Entering *#*#2846579#*#* in the dial ， and selecting the

following options ： ProjectMenu --> 3. Network setting --> 4.
