ABSTRACT

Emerging trend of bio-fabrication of nanoparticles is evolving huge interest in

the field of nanotechnology research. Green fabrication of nanoparticles is simple, one
step, non- toxic, cost effective and eco- friendly method compared to other array of
physical and chemical methods. Hence, in the present research it deals with green
fabrication of copper nanoparticles using Bryophyllum pinnatum aqueous extract as
reducing agent. The size and shape of the nanoparticles was effectively controlled the
extract was confirmed by characterization study. It reveals that the effective potential
of the plant to synthesise the copper nanoparticles for various end applications such as
antibacterial, antioxidant, antifungal, drug delivery, molecular imaging, cell labelling,
diagnosis/ treatment, cancer therapy, material chemistry and bio-sensing etc.
