INTRODUCTION

Does students these days care about their preparation for taking college entrance exams,
specifically Polytechnic University of the Philippines College Entrance Test? Today, things quite
changed a lot, specifically in a student’s life. We students have been struggling more and more
with all the school works needed to be done, family and peer problems, and handling our own
personal struggles. These are just some factors that have great effects on students, especially
those who are preparing for college entrance exams.

Do you know that out of more than 42,000 students who took the Polytechnic University
of the Philippine College Entrance Test, only 12,162 passed, this means the passing rate in taking
this exam is only 28.29%. The increasing number of applicants also led to a higher score
requirement you need to have in order to qualify. This shows that you have to be really prepared
you want to pass the test. This why we students, who are interested in passing the exam,
considered this a hot topic. This could help everyone gain more information regarding the
preparedness test takers.

Our concern on why we conducted this research is to provide unbiased respond regarding
“The Preparedness of Grade 12 ABM Students of Polytechnic University of the Philippines in
PUPCET”. The correspondents we are going to have are grade 12 student whore currently
studying at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines under the track of ABM. The reason why
we chose them is for us to correlate ourselves to the topic more. Information is going to be
gathered through a (survey or interview) that contains questions that are most based in personal
experience of the students.
