Calibre™ Access Integrated

2 Door Access Module for integration with Calibre™ BMS

> Board Size and Mounting options

o PCB to be 213mm by 108mm.
o PCB to be on pillars, bare card only. Sufficient 3mm Ø holes for
standoffs to be used to prevent excessive board flex when pulling
off and pushing on connectors.

> Connector options

o Connectors to be two-part, pin mounted on PCB with mating
screw connector to terminate 1mm2 wiring.
o 12VDC input, 3 pin direct screw connector.
o Modbus connector to be unique. 3 pin two-part connector.
o RS232C connector DB9 male.

> Power Supply

o 12VDC.
o Reverse power connection protection.
o 3V logic supply.
o 12V, 1A fused supply for locks brought out to each door relay
terminal.
o 5V @ 400mA and 12V @ 400mA supplies for external LED’s, Buzzer
and keypad/ Wiegand readers.
o Ground (0V) and Earth tied together via 1MΩ resistor and 10nF
capacitor.

> Full LED diagnostics on communications, power, inputs and outputs

> Supports 2 doors with in/out by Wiegand readers or with request to exit
out.
o All intelligence in the PLC for implementation of “Door Modes”,
“Time Frames”, “Holidays”, “Users” etc.
o Only exception is “Loss of Communications Function” detailed
below.

> Supports 4 Wiegand reader inputs, an entry and exit for each door.
o 26 bit reader support.
o 30 bit NOT supported at present.
o If error in data string then unit sounds the buzzer with 4 by 500mS
burst at 50% mark space ratio.

> 8 balanced line inputs.

o Separate EOL (End of Line) supervised door reed inputs for each
door.
o Separate EOL supervised tongue sense inputs for each door.

o Separate request to exit for each door.

o 2 auxiliary inputs.
o 2 state inputs detecting open circuit, short circuit and balanced
conditions.
o All alarms generated by inputs are programmable for reporting to
monitoring system.

> Communications Loss.

o Action determined by the setting of 2 dip switches as defined
under the Modbus Address document.
o Allow entry and exit with readers checking for a valid site code
(Note if door in free mode then remains open)
or Lock door
or Open door
or Retain state.
o Allow exit via Request to Exit input.
o Door open period fixed at 5 seconds.
o No log of entry and exit kept during off-line mode.

> Real time clock even when power totally removed from PCB.

> 8 outputs.
o Separate relay 5A @ 30VDC, resistive relays with change over
ability for N/O and N/C for each door. Normal state of relays
OFF, On to Unlock
o Separate open collector for green LED indication each door,
48VDC @ 100mA.
o Separate open collector for red LED indication each door, 48VDC
@ 100mA.
o Separate open collector for buzzer indication each door, 48VDC @
100mA.

> RS485 MODBUS RTU communications (slave).

o Direct connection to the LAN.
o Addressing by 6 bit DIP switch (63 addresses). This allows for
easier installer and post identification of board.
o Baud rate fixed at 57,600 Baud.
o Even Parity, 1 Stop Bit.
o T3.5, message termination time has been fixed at 650µS.
o Termination resistor via jumper.
o Biasing resistors, 10K, permanently in.
