“The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren are not
money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of
character and faith.”
I am moved at the same time being amazed once again by the fact that we Filipinos
really value our children because aside from the cliché but meaningful quotation of Dr. Jose
Rizal which is “Kabataan ang siyang Pag-asa ng Bayan”, our children is also the greatest
treasure that we should keep for they are the one who will receive the legacy of every Filipino
elders which is the attitude of respect, and having a strong faith to our God.
As the older brother of my 4 siblings, I can really relate myself from Urbana’s. Just like
her, aside from my parents, I should be the one who will teach good values towards them that
I should remind them to be good to people all the time, being responsible of their decisions,
their actions and their words and lastly, to be the role model of no matter what happened we
should not forget to pray.
The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren are not money
or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.
Truly this quote is undeniably true, that teaching proper manners, good values, right actions
and strong faith is priceless and teaching these “character-shaping” deeds should always start
to our children because as time passed by, they will imprint it into their heart and will reflect
in their life.
