I am writing to express my interest regarding your opening for an 8th grade ELA/History Teacher
at Riverside Elementary. I am working on my bachelor’s degree in secondary history, with
additional courses that focus on preparation and classroom management. I have the training and
knowledge to create lesson plans that teach students about the past, present, and sometimes what
to expect in the future.

My creativity loans me the ability to create lessons that will capture the attention of the students
and to keep them interested in learning more. I have been taught the skills needed to design tests
and exams that will help to evaluate how well the students are learning and to make sure they
fully understand the lessons and are prepared to move on to the next.

My communication skills are exceptional. Also, I can convey information to students, parents
and school officials in a clear and easy to understand fashion both verbally and in writing. Lastly,
