5.1.4. Parameter flashes

If any physiological parameter of the patient generates an alarm, this parameter will
flash in the parameter area. Alarm happens when the parameters violate alarm
limits and alarm is set to “ON”.
After setting up the Central, alarm limits does not change by central, but HR alarm
limits is determined by sent values via bedside or central user. Changing alarm
limits by central user is explained in chapter 7.

Note: Alarm is transmitted from bedside to Central with 5 S delay.

Note: Technical alarms of each parameter have higher priority than physiological
alarms.
Note: Visual alarms can be seen from 2 m and audio alarms can be heard from 10 m.
When alarm happens it is necessary to identify alarm and its cause.
1. check patient conditions
2. be familiar with alarms related to the modules. (See chapter 13)
