How to analyze about Parents from Native’s Horoscope?

(Effective method to use D12 (Dwasdsamasa) Chart)

Many times, people want to discuss about their Parents, but they do not have
Parent’s Birth details. What to do that in such a situation? There are two possible
methods:

1. Parshana Kundli* Analysis &

2. Use the D-12 (Dwadsamasa*) Chart from Native’s horoscope.

*Parshna Kundli is a very effective method to analyze about questions but it has a
limited scope.

*Sage Parashara said to check about Parents from D-12 Chart, but there is no
detailed method is available about “how to check”. Every one follows his own
way. As per Sage Parashara:

• I.e. D-12 chart is based on 1/12th division of Sign, which measures 2 Degree
& 30 Minutes and lordship follows as: 1. Ganesha, 2. Ashwani Kumar, 3.
Yama and 4. Sarpa. In each Sign, Lordship rotates 3 times. The name of the
first Dwadasamsa of a particular sign is the name of the sign itself.

• So that, the 12 Dwadasamsas of Mesha are Mesha, Vrishabha, Mithuna,

etc, ending with Meena.

• Those of Vrishabha are Vrishabha, Mithuna, Kataka etc, ending with Mesha
and so on.
 • As said above, in each Sign, lordship rotates 3 times. But, there is not exact
formulation available to differentiate in impact of these lordships.

• To use any divisional chart (especially higher division charts), we need to be

cautious about accuracy of “Birth Time” as Accuracy of Divisional Charts
depends entirely on accuracy of birth time. Only accurate Divisional charts
can be useful. However, if birth time is not accurately available, divisional
charts will be misleading, and should be ignored.

• One important point: We do not have option to choose our Parents!

Now the question arises how to check for Parent’s well being from a Native’s
Horoscope. For this, I used many methods, but in last, I experienced the
following one as much accurate. This method is very simple in use. Its special
feature is: “If birth time is inaccurate within the range of “Same Lagna Sign”,
then also, we can use this method without any “If & But”. Here, we are using
Karktva of Planets as per Nadi texts. Sun is Karka of Father and Moon is Karka
of Mother.

Conclusion: Here, I am using Karktva of Planets as per Nadi texts. Sun is Karka of
Father and Moon is Karka of Mother.

Method:

1. Simply cast the Horoscope, as we cast. Here, we need to precisely focus

on: 1. Ascendant, 2. Navamsa (D-9) Chart, 3. Dwadsamasa Chart (D-12),
Dasas (Vimshottri) and Current Transit.
2. Now this 2nd step is important. To avoid the inaccuracy of Birth data
(but birth time should be within the range of “Same Lagna Sign”). Simply
cast two new chart based on Dwadsamasa Chart (D-12)
a. D-12/Moon for Mother: Cast the chart with the House as Ascendant,
where Moon is placed in D-12 chart.
b. D-12/Sun for Father: Cast the chart with the House as Ascendant,
where Sun is placed in D-12 chart.
c. Remember D-12/Moon chart or D-12/Sun chart are supplementary
charts which should be used with Lagna Chart.
3. Navamsa Position of Sun and Moon are also vital here.
4. For mother, in Natal chart, check if there is any enemy Planet (Saturn,
Rahu and Ketu, specially) in the 4th and 8th house from Ascendant and
from Moon. Any malefic there may be harmful for physical health or
psychological issues for native or her mother.
5. In D12/Moon chart, during transit, any malefic Planet (Saturn, Rahu and
Ketu, specially) in the 4th or 8th house from Moon may be harmful.
6. For father, in Natal chart, check if there is any enemy Planet (Saturn,
Rahu and Ketu, specially) in the 9th house from Ascendant and from Sun.
Any malefic there may be harmful.
7. In D12/Sun chart, during transit, malefic Planet (Saturn, Rahu and Ketu,
specially) in the 4th or 8th or 9th house from Sun may be harmful.
8. In addition, D9/Sun & D9/Moon should be checked with above said
transits of malefic Planets in case of diseases.

Example 1:

Native: Female (Her chart was studied regarding her mother’s health
issues, as her mother’s birth details were not available).

Birth Details are:

Date of Birth: 12 July, 1959, Time of Birth: 21:15 Hours, Place of Birth:
Dehradun (Uttrakhand).

Ascendant and other charts are as given below:

In Natal Chart:

*Moon: Karka of Mother is within close conjunction of Rahu in 8th house. The
4th house from Moon is occupied by Saturn. So, Moon is afflicted here.
Important point is at the time of birth of the native, Moon had already
encountered degree wise with Rahu before birth and started approaching a
natural benefic Jupiter. So, during pregnancy there would had some health
issues with native’s mother, but after delivery, she recovered well and lived a
happy and respectable life with authority, but resources would be limited as
Saturn is in 4th to Moon.

*In D9 (Navamsa) Chart: Moon is again in conjunction of Rahu with Sun.

*In D-12/Moon chart: During Transit of Saturn and Rahu in the 8th
house/Libra sign mother passed away on 5th Jan, 2014.

Case Study: 2

Native: Female. Event: Her father’s sudden death on 18 Feb, 2012.

Birth Details are: Date of birth: 26th March, 1980, Time of Birth: 17:00:00
Hours, Place of Birth: New Delhi.

Birth Chart and other Charts are:

Saturn was transiting in Libra Sign; Rahu was in Scorpio on 18 Feb, 2012. Now
check Lagna, Navamsa and D12/Sun charts:
In Lagna chart:

Transit Saturn (Retro): Libra Sign/3rd house

Transit Rahu: Scorpio Sign/4th house.

In Natal Navamsha Chart:

Transit Saturn (Retro): Transiting over Navamsha Sun in Libra Sign.

Transit Rahu: Transiting over Navamsa Moon + Ketu in Scorpio Sign.

In D12/Sun Chart:

Transit Saturn: Libra Sign/4th house over Natal Rahu

Transit Rahu: Scorpio Sign/5th house over Jupiter.

In this case study, Saturn transit resulted fatal for father. Here important to
note is Natal Saturn is retro as well as transit Saturn was also retro. Rahu also
supported here and Native’s father collapsed on Table in office while taking
Tea. Doctor informed about heart failure.

Case Study: 3
Native: Female, (Promotion, Rise in Career and Health issues for
father)
Birth details are: Date of birth: 3rd July, 1999, Time of birth: 21:23
hours, Place of birth: Tikamgarh (MP)
*Father’s health issue: Left Ear operated on 14 Nov, 2011
*Rise in father’s career: Got offer in Oct, 2011 and Joined on 1 Dec,
2011.
Native’s birth chart and other charts are:
Focusing on D12/Sun Chart:
On 14 Nov, 2011, Planets in transit were: Left Ear operated
*Rahu: In Scorpio Sign with Venus and Mercury. Rahu in 12th house
over Natal Mercury with Transit Venus point hospitalization or
health issues or expenditure. Why left ear? The 11th house governs
Left Ear. Its Lord is Venus there. Venus is with Ketu in 11th from 11th
i.e. in 9th house. Ketu’s affliction point health issues for Wife (Venus
karka of wife) and 11th house related. Also Venus is here 6th lord.
Mercury governs communication i.e. ENT.
*Jupiter (Retro): Aspects Scorpio, which indicate availability
remedies.
*Saturn: Virgo, 3rd aspect on 12th house.
On 1 Dec, 2011, Planets in transit were: Promotion
*Rahu: In Scorpio Sign with Venus and Mercury.
*Jupiter (Retro): Aries
*Saturn: Libra
The 10th house governs Professional success, and the 6th house (Job)
& the 7th house (business). There is very important point need to
check the nature of profession. So, in addition to 10th & 6th/7th, we
need to look on the supportive house according to profession. Like
for writers, 3rd should be strong. For works, where creative
intelligence needed to generate brilliant concepts, the 5th house
becomes important there. In such cases, the individual genius of
authority is required.
So, the 5th house is also important house for following reasons:
a: because of creative intelligence,
b: being 8th from 10th house and
c: being 12th from 6th house.
So, when a functional benefic planet transit 5th house, there will be
strong chances of doing something new with the use of creative
intelligence.
Any affliction in 5th house, not only disturb the 5th house but also
disturb the 6th house. So, Personally I believe 5th house play a vital
role in promotion or Pada Prapti.
When Jupiter transited in 5th house in Aries Sign, gave a sudden rise
in carrier along with Saturn’s transit in 10th house (Karka Bhava).
Also at that time, Saturn was moving towards it exaltation sign.
Jupiter was aspecting 9th and Asc also.

So, this way, we can use effectively use divisional charts. 2nd version

other divisional charts.
One can try following points in Research:
• D9/Venus for Wife and D9/Mars for Husband.
• D7/Jupiter for Progeny.
• D10/Saturn for Professional Success/Failure.
