Cassava Chips: Tests Applied To Risk Food
Check the Import Conditions Database (ICON) to determine if the food you intend to import requires
an import permit, treatment or if it must meet any other conditions. All biosecurity requirements must
be met before Imported Food Inspection Scheme requirements apply.
Chips, crackers and snacks made from sweet cassava that are packaged and ready to eat with no
further preparation required are classified as risk food. This includes:
raw cassava
cassava pellets or cassava chips that are for use in further processing
mixed foods that contain cassava chips.
