hindi ang mga uri: “Whether or not we believe that they are complementary,

(175) Sa ganitong diwa binigyang-diin ni Lopez ang pagiging obhetibo ng
konseptong “panitikang proletaryo” o “panitikan ng uring manggagawa.”
Sapagkat bahagi ng kultura ang panitikan, ang mga manggagawa na may
sariling kultura ay may sarili ring panitikan na magmumula sa kanilang
kolektibong damdamin.
Marami sa mga tula ang kakikitaan din ng isa pang tila bukod na
tauhan: ang tagapagligtas/manunubos o mesiyas ng mga kontra-gahum.
Karaniwan sa mga tula ni Lumbera, ang sambayanang Pilipino o ang isang
sektor na bahagi nito (gaya ng mga utusan, guro, manggagawa o magsasaka)
na inaapi at pinagsasamantalahan ang siya ring tagapagligtas/manunubos o
mesiyas ng mga kontra-gahum.
