Classification of Sources: Primary or Secondary

Response 1

For the first response I can say that it is a Primary source because even if her statement is

opinionated we can say that she is present at the time and still witnessing how our President Duterte

runs our country. Based on her answer she also gave example what a populist is by connecting to

what is really happening in our generation and also not buy just giving examples she obviously

tells stories that is based on her observation.

On the second response I might say that this one is a Secondary source because he has

nothing to say about witnessing something of what he claims of. He said that President Duterte

constantly visits and checks especially the poor but on that scenario we can judge that he is not

actually there that is why his information might be just secondary, although he clearly explains his

side and gives some insight his information might also base on a primary source.

This kind of response I could say that it is a Secondary response because I can see that it
lacks of evidence and the respondent information don’t have a concrete example whether he
observe something and he just simple gives the meaning of elite and populist and then differentiate
it in a sufficiently manner.

Based on his answer his statement is a Primary source and he also said about public
speaking of President Duterte so in that statement we can probably classify it as a primary source
because based on what he said, he witness or see how President Duterte do a public speaking and
through that we can judge that he is also present and his evidence is his eyes itself that’s why it
can be a primary source.

For the last response this might be a Secondary source, we can see that she also based her
answer from a primary source which is there could be a public report. It is also opinionated but
she does not give further explanation of what she said or claim.
