DEFINE THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND


OBJECTIVES
In order to do any research and collect data, you have
to know what you are trying to learn from the
research. In marketing research, defining the problem
that needed to solve will determine what information
you need and how you can get that information. This
will help the organization clarify the whole problem or
opportunity, such as how to best address the loss of
market share or how to launch a new product to a
specific demographic.
2. DEVELOP THE RESEARCH PLAN
A research plan is a framework or blueprint for
conducting the marketing research project.It
includes any method that will help us to answer the
research problem or explore an opportunity
identified in step one.
3.COLLECT INFORMATION
• This phase of marketing research is generally the
most expensive and error-prone step. There are
various ways to collect data.It can be collected
through primary source or secondary source.
Primary data collection includes collecting data
through observation method, interview method,
questionnaire,etc

4. ANALYSE INFORMATION
The next to last process is to extract findings by
tabulating the data and developing summary
measures. The researchers apply various
techniques and test to analyse the data.
5) Present the findings
The findings should be presented in
comprehensible format so that they can be readily
used in the decision making.
