of India has released the prestigious INDIA Rankings 2019.

Adding to its laurels, the University of Calcutta has secured the 5th
position among the Universities in India.

The University of Calcutta has not only consolidated its position but also
improved ranking from 14th rank in 2018 to 5th rank in 2019. The
University has also improved Overall ranking among the academic
institutions in India from 21st rank in 2018 to 12th rank in 2019.

The ranking is done on the basis of teaching, learning and resources,

research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and
inclusivity, and perception.
