Dear sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for the position of writer for your magazine which was advertised in the
publication you made two days ago on the website of the magazine.

In the last two years, after graduating the University of Letters from Bucharest, I worked as
Writing Representative for a well-known newspaper, I wrote articles for the historical field
mostly, managed content and link submissions, and wrote a monthly email newsletter to
subscribers so this helped me to develop my writing skills and to improve them.

After a year of working, I was promoted and I started doing research. I drafted and amended
legislation, wrote press releases, and was responsible for office communications and
correspondence.

I have two examples of local people that I would write about, because I consider that
everyone should know what they have done and what they leaved for.

The first one is Isaac Newton. He was an English mathematician, astronomer, theologian and
physicist who is widely recognised as one of the most influential scientist of all time. He is
known to be the one who formulated the laws of motion and universal gravitation and that
is why I consider him a must to this magazine.

The second personality I would like to write about is Roger Bacon, English philosopher and
Franciscan friar who placed considerable emphasis on the study of nature through
empiricism. If I will e selected for this job, I would tell you more interesting information
about Bacon that I consider, a lot of people should know about.

I am convinced that information like these would be of interest to people in other countries
and I would very much like to have the opportunity to write about them for your magazine.
