Reflection Summary

This module has been developed for students of the English language education study program
who are prospective professional EFL educators. The development of this module has been
focused on promoting the participants' mastery of the two major professional competencies
stated in the PPG Curriculum 2018; so that, by the end of the program, they:

1. can understand and extend explicit and implicit meanings in written texts and
2. extend in formal register.

This module has been focused on providing opportunities for the participants to learn to
communicate in English for academic interactions purposes. It is considered important for EFL
teachers to be proficient in working with text types within this area that include: explanation,
discussion, graphic organizers (tables, graphs and charts), and infographics.

This module consists of four main Learning Activities in the following order:

LA 1 Working with Explanation Texts

LA 2 Working with Discussion Texts

LA 3 Communicating with Graphic Organizers (tables, graphs and charts)

LA 4 Communicating with Infographics

Although it is recommended that participants begin their study with Learning Activity I, it is
always possible for them to begin working on any Learning Activity of their own interest or
needs.
