(EXT.)NARROW SIDE STREET - TOKYO - HARUJUKU – APRIL

– MORNING
Establishing shot with the sun lighting up the
scene. CAMERA pans to a bloomed Cherry Blossom tree
at the end of street. Young adults passing by with
colourful and modern clothing. A young woman, mid-
thirties, wearing darker, smarter clothing stands
out as a result. She is walking fast, late for
work, with bed-hair.
The woman is plain-faced, with no really unique
specifications. Dark hair, tanned skin and fairly
short. Her only slight abnormality is her large,
squared glasses. Still, she has caught the eye of a
man (AKI) who is almost obsessed with her, without
quite knowing why.

AKI
(Leaning against a wall, talking to his friend with
an excited tone)
Yesterday on the street I passed the 100% girl!

MALE FRIEND
Yeah?
(Smiles)
Good-looking?

AKI
(His tone softens)
Not really…

MALE FRIEND
Your favourite type, then?

I don’t know. I can’t seem to remember anything about

her.
MALE FRIEND
Strange.

AKI
Yeah. Strange.

MALE FRIEND
So anyhow, what did you do? Talk to her? Follow her?
(Laughs slightly under his breath, as they start to walk
away)

AKI
Nah. Just passed her on the street.
(Visibly embarrassed about the fact he followed her)
