Plug the oscilloscope into a variable AC power supply and set the variable AC power supply output to exactly wow. 2 Connect the multimeter to TP+I40V, 3. If necessary, adjust VRSOL for a ¥140 Vdc 41 Vac reading on the multimeter, 4. Connect the multimeter to TP#260V. 5, Wnecessary adjust VRS01 for a 1260 Vac 45 Vac reading on the multimeter, 6, Repeat steps two through fire until ne further adjust= ment ls necessary, 1. Using a high voltage probe, measure the voltage at TPaRV, 8 ME necessary, adjust VRSOB for a meter reading of “e006 Yee iS vies . 9. Disconnect the oscilloscope from the variable ac power supply and plug it into a regular ac outlet INTENSITY ADJUSTMENT. Set up the oscilloscope for automatic (AUTO) sweep op- eration with a single-trace displayed at the center of the CRT. NORMAL/INVERT ADJUSTMENT 1 cuz Set the channel 1 AC-GND-DC switch to the GND posi- tion, select the AUTO trigger mode, set the oscilloscope for channel 1 single-trace display, and use the CH 1 POS, control to center the trace, Press and release the NORM/INV I awitch repeatedly and observe the display. The trace should ‘not move ‘when switched from NORM to INV. if necessary, adjust VRIOL until the trace does not move when switched between NORM and INV. DC BALANCE ADJUSTMENT With the channel 2 AC-GND-DC switch in the GND po- sition, the AUTO trigger mode selected, and channel 2 Single-trace operation elected, set the CH 2 VOLTS/ DIV switch to 5 mV. If necessary, adjust VR30S to obtain 95 Yao 42 Vac at the collectors of Q405 and Q406. 4. Repeat stops 2 and 3 until no further adjustment is re~ quired. 5, Pross the CH 1/CH 2 switch and use the channel 2 POS and X POS controls to set the dot at the exact center of the CRT. 6. He necessary, adjust VR306 to obtain 95 We 32 Vde at the collectors of Q405 and Q406, 7. Repeat steps § and 6 until no further adjustment is re- ured, 8, Disconnect the meter from the oscilloscope HORIZONTAL CENTERING ADJUSTMENT 1, With the oscillocope set up for XY operation and the PULL X10 controt pushed in, set the X POS control to fits center. 2, We necessary, adjust VR6D6 until the dot is as close to the conter (horizontally) of the CRT as possible. HORIZONTAL VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENT 1, With the oselllescope still set up for X-¥ operation and the PULL X10 control pushed in, set the pasition con trols so that the dot is atthe exact center of the CRT. Uf necessary, adjust VREOA to obtain 145 Vde 45 Vde at the collectors of Q808 and 809. 3. Disconnect the meter from the oscilloscope, SWEEP LENGTH ADJUSTMENT 1, Set the cxcilloscope for a single-trace display of channel 1 iwith the channel 1 AC-GND-DC switch set to GND). 2, Rotate VRE05 fully counterclockwite. 3. Use the X POS control to set the left edge of the trace con the left most vertical graduatlon and observe where the right edge of the trace falls 4. Again using the X POS control, move the right edge of the trace two Givisions to the left. 2 5, Rotate VR6OS clockwise until the trace reaches the right edge of the CRT.
