The Walmart Finance & Strategy E3 MBA Internship is a highly-competitive opportunity within
the Finance and Strategy organization specifically targeting students from select universities, with
ambition to work on some of the most challenging, innovative, and impactful projects that will
drive our business forward. You will have the opportunity to play a role in the biggest transition
happening in retail right now. We are leaning into digital innovation and rapidly transforming our
company from the largest brick & mortar retailer into a truly Omni-channel experience provider,
delivering goods and services to our customers whenever, wherever, and however they want
them.

strong leadership pipeline. That’s why we created the E3 Finance & Strategy program.
The cohort-driven E3 internship allows interns to build broad business experience, gain executive
exposure and expedite professional development. It serves as a talent pipeline into the Walmart
E3 Finance & Strategy program.
INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
● Experience: Placement on one of our Finance & Strategy teams throughout the company,
including Corporate, Walmart U.S., Walmart International and Sam’s Club. All internship
placements will be based on Bentonville. You will have the opportunity to gain big data
experience, build robust business and financial models and drive strategic insight in a variety
of high visibility initiatives.
● Exposure: Exposure to the CEO, CFO and Senior Finance leadership through executive
roundtables; interaction with MBA alumni who have progressed throughout the organization;
evening and weekend activities to show you all that Northwest Arkansas has to offer.
● Education: Mentoring, technical skills development and individual coaching.
QUALIFICATIONS
● MBA from a nationally recognized, top-tier program with a focus in general business, finance,
or strategy
● 3-5 years of professional experience in finance, quantitative, or strategic roles.
● Strong communication skills: experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deal with ambiguity
● Strategic, critical thinking with strong problem-solving skills and common business acumen
● Excellent quantitative skills: comfortable analyzing large volumes of data in a fast-paced and
dynamic retail environment
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
● Extreme attention to detail
● Authorization to work in US without restrictions
The MBA internship program serves as a pipeline of talent into the full-time Walmart E3 Finance
& Strategy Program.
The program is a 24-month rotational leadership and development program designed to
accelerate the careers of our associates as they grow into roles as future leaders in Walmart
Finance. We are seeking MBAs with a track record of high performance, diverse skills, and
professional experience in finance, quantitative, or strategic roles.
● Experience: Four 6-month rotations across multiple, unique business areas in Walmart U.S.,
Sam’s Club, International, eCommerce and Corporate. Each role is a mix of big data, analytics,
financial analysis, influencing strategic decisions, and implementing initiatives to improve
business performance.
● Exposure: Collaborative environment that facilitates frequent access to senior leadership;
Executive roundtables; immersion opportunities across our Stores, Clubs and Supply Chain
● Education: Mentoring; ongoing technical skill development and individual coaching
