NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS

Submission of Articles
Contributions to the journal should be sent to the executive editor: Prof.
J. Cheryl Exum, Department of Biblical Studies, Arts Tower, University of
Sheffield, Sheffield S10 2TN, England.
Manuscripts should be submitted in duplicate. They should be written
in either English, German, French or Spanish. The text must be gram-
matically correct and in good literary style, using inclusive language.
Articles should be typewritten, or in the form of a clear printout from a
word-processor, on A4 or American-standard white paper, double-spaced
(including notes, which should appear at the end of the article), and on
one side of the paper only.
Submissions must include an abstract or summary of the article in not
more than 250 words. Abstracts should appear at the end of the text,
before the footnotes. Articles should be complete, including all neces-
sary notes, bibliographical references, tables, etc.
Text may also be submitted on disk, but a full identification of the
computer system and word-processing program used, together with two
hardcopy printouts, must always accompany the diskettes. Authors
should retain a copy of the manuscript and of the electronic form of the
text in the version submitted.
Articles should follow Biblical Interpretation style, copies of which are
available from the editor or the publishers.
Articles should be original work and should not have been published
previously. Simultaneous submission of identical work to other journals
is not acceptable.
Authors of accepted articles receive galley proofs for proofreading.
These must be returned promptly within the period requested, and the
publisher reserves the right to charge authors for changes to proofs
other than corrections of compositor’s errors. The page proofs are read
by the editor.
Authors receive 25 complimentary offprints of their published article.
