Aim:
Find, gather, and examine health information from different sources to help inform healthy
decisions around sexual health. Explore how sexual activity affects changing relationships and
how personal factors influence the wellbeing and sexual health of diverse communities.

1.1 What are the physical and mental aims of ‘Safer Sex’?

PART 2: Relationships (approx. 70)


2.1 In your own words describe why sex is not needed in a relationship, list ways people can
be intimate without including penetrative sex.
2.2 Research one STI, and find the following points, showing why safe sex is recommended.
1. How it occurs
2. What the symptoms are
3. If there is treatment
4. How someone can reduce their risk.
PART 3: Social (approx. 100)
3.1 Research Herpes and examine how those who engage in same sex intercourse may be at
risk.
3.2 List the reasons someone might refuse or be against using any form of contraception.
3.3 Select a form of contraception (not condom) and explain

- Students will be given one draft. This is due Friday 17/8.
- Students will have Mondays lesson to alter any suggestions and complete their work
before handing it in that day 20/8.
